Hello all!

It's never to late to express gratitude, right?

These last few days were spent driving aimlessly with my daughter through Northern Cal. What a wonderful trip of bonding, vistas, tourism and starbucks! I am so very grateful for her, she is a true blessing.

Community has been such a positive influence in my life over the last year, thank you for all my friends both Live and Virtual.

And lastly, I am giving thanks for my physical health. Lately, I have been taking for granted my sturdy, healthy body and am very grateful for the blessing of a strong immune system.

With love and gratitude to you all!

Gina

Happy Thanks ! And don't forget the giving!

Here "alone" with family in Florida i.e. the extended family are having their feast in Illinois. I guess that's where the action is for us, but we can throw a good party too! Had fun watching Macy's Parade. No vegetarian turkey this year (it brings back memories), we have the real thing. I am opening a bottle of wine in honor of all my freinds here at I-I . May you be filled with joy. Giving thanks for your hearts and minds. Oh my god, I am 20 lbs overweight and just love the stuffing...temptation on the Zen cushion!

Daniel

Yeah, the Canucks almost have it right; they celebrate in October, I think. And actually, it makes far more sense as a sort of harvest festival. But since moving to California, Thanksgiving does make more sense in November. Back east, it always seemed a little strange that we celebrated when all the crops were long gone and it was beginning to snow.

Lucky dog, with synaethesia! Turkey challenges my digestion, so I can't imagine what it does to a vegetarian. Eesh. I love the KW birthday celebration idea, but you are going to be accused of being in a cult, you know.

Liz

      Hello everybody,

I spent my first thanksgiving with Jane...early one...14 at the table...I enjoyed the sense of occasion..the warmth...nice custom, we have nothing like it here in dear old blighty apart from xmas din-dins...I may well spearhead a movement dedicated to the instigation of a communal nosh here in the UK...maybe a Ken Wilber Birthday celebration if pretext is needed...anyway we need to gather more folk into the fold cos the Integral Salon North West (UK) at present is a dozen stalwarts strong...we need another 988 to foster an Integral Renaissance if you dont count the lone wolves...anyway AQAL blessings to y'all and enjoy the grub.....Jon x

PS I ate turkey at Janes...first fowl to hit my alimentary canal in 24 years...interesting experiment...wasn't ill but felt somehow like a wet blue flannel looks when its drying rapidly in the sun..but theres my synaesthesia for you..

Oh yeah, thank you Puritan pilgrims for leaving us a legacy of sexaul, creative and self repression so deep and pathological it set the way for the boom of Boomeritis and fuels it to this day -your legacy lives on ednlessly. We're so thankful they kicked you out of Enlgand.

:-) :-) :-)

Just kidding!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a guy who lived many a year exactly six miles South of the Plymouth Rock.

:-P

This is the first Thanksgiving that I'm spending with my new family. :) I'm thankful that my life has changed in so many wonderful ways, and I'm so happy to be spending my life with Liz and my stepchildren - I'm grateful that we've bonded so well. I feel very lucky and loved. On the downside, I came down with the flu or something like it last night and I feel sick and miserable...but that's OK...more turkey and cranberry sauce for others. :) Sick or not, there's no place I'd rather be.

I'm also thankful for all the people I met online, many of whom have contributed to my growth in various ways, and some of whom I've been lucky to become friends with. :)

Love to all,
Arthur

Tomorrow is my favorite holiday. I know it's not PC and the native Americans were/are oppressed, but I think the spirit of the holiday is one of cultural inclusion. It's just everything that happened afterwards that sucked for the "Indians." :o(

Anyway, nobody has to buy anything but food and drink, and the whole point is enjoying yourself with your friends and family. It's a holiday ALL Americans can participate in, and it doesn't matter where your family came from or what their religion is.

A holiday all about being thankful is pretty cool, too. I know I'll be pretty busy with cooking tomorrow, so I want to say Happy Thanksgiving now, to everyone, not just my fellow Americans.

liz
