Grey Just testing URLs in the grapevine. This link will take you to Pelle's blog: http://is.gd/ixdm (I want to see if this gets converted to a link or if you have to copy and paste it.) (9 months ago)

Grey Oof! Just saw this now, Siona.... Yeah, flutters I think it was... no, "flaps", but I don't like it much. "Flutter" was the name to replace "Grapevine". Anyway, I just used "tweets" here because it's more readily recognizable. :) (9 months ago)

Hey guys!  I'm just writing to inform you that Zaadz will be having its first face-to-face “convention” in AGES in just a few weeks and that you're invited to this free event!  You can find out more about it here:

much love

Minor peeve: the one in California is a vegan-vegetarian potluck, meaning I couldn't possibly eat with the group. Where is it written that if there's a vegetarian in attendance, everyone has to be meat-free?

Guess I'll just have dinner with the Dalai Lama instead…

Hi Liz,

Reminds me of the “Bob” joke - you’re not here for the food, are you?

I have to confess, I have no idea what that joke is.

The irony is, I totally get what a drag it is to be vegetarian and not be able to get what you need to eat, as I have a similar problem. I can't eat anything with gluten or dairy in it, and there's quite a bit else I can't eat, either. The problem is, my diet is pretty much all the stuff vegetarians can't eat, and vice versa.

I get pretty triggered when it's assumed that everyone can eat a vegetarian diet, which is patently false. And a very narrow, often judgmental, and non-integral view, I might add.

One never knows how many people simply don't attend functions like that without ever saying why. I would just assume that the people holding it are Green-meme food nazis and stay away, given no other information.

BTW, I'm speaking of the event in California, not the one in Florida.

I have to tell you the bob joke - will happen some day (it wouldn’t “work” in written form). Florida’s too bloody hot for me, epecially in August.

I’m quite fortunate in that I have no food-allergies and can (and do) eat everything. I do have a definite problem with the way most animals get abused in our society, so I only eat free range meats - and I relish those, yumyum.
