Fuel for Thought...

Em said Jul 26, 2006, 10:28 AM:

We are responsible for what we put into our mouths as well as the greater implications of these decisions.

Little experiment.  Take a moment for yourself to ponder the following.

“If I continue to fuel my body as I am choosing to fuel it now, I see this 15 years in my future.”

Again, think of the larger implications of how you're fueling yourself.  How will your body move?  Will you have any new health-related expenses?  Will anyone be needing to care for you?  Will you be fatigued?  Energized and limber?

Naturally this is, to a degree, pure speculation.  But, do not, for a moment, underestimate the consequences of how you choose to fuel yourself right now.

In addition to addressing the play of what we eat in the moment, let's not fail to include the play between what we eat today and the future.

The problem is, we know what is good for our body (and our body tells us this by positively responding to what we eat), but we still eat things that are bad for us anyway.  How do we conquer our tastebuds?  That is my difficulty.  If you set some broccoli and some ice cream in front of me, then tell me I can either have one or the other, I will choose the ice cream every time.  Any suggestions?
