Now being a Lacto-vegetarian Protein shakes have been a must as a vital source of this essential macronutrient. I thought I might share my latest mixture that I have at least twice a day. Now this isnt going to win a taste test award but it sure seems to work for me:
5 tablespoons of Whey Protein Isolate 1 teaspoon of Super Greens (combination of barley grass, spurilina, and other greens product) 1/2 tablespoon of creatine 1 teaspoon of goji berry powder (although I prefer the 100% goji juice) 200ml peach, guava, and coconut juice 300ml filtered water 1 teaspoon of flax seed oil
My wife likens the mixture to a swamp - but regardless of her taunts I actually like the taste. Ive estimated that the mixture costs about A$2.40 (US$2.10) so its pretty good value considering the ingredients. If I have this at night I will follow it up with a teaspoon of nut butter - combination of almond, hazelnut and brazil nut.
I dont expect anytime soon that Shawn Phillips will bring out a FullStrength verison of this but try it out yourself. By the way if anyone else as their own versions of the protein shake post it on the site.
