Hope you enjoy!

ALMOND MILK

1 cup sprouted Almonds

3 cups water  (I used Artisean from Trader Joes)
1 t raw honey
Blend all together in blender until smooth. Strain through a fine strainer and chill

It tastes like it sounds… hope that makes sense :)

Hey Organics!!

As we're big fans of Almond/nut milk i thought i'd post this for all to see…so with your fab recipe and the demonstration vid of how to make it here others will be well on their way to experiencing a great alternative to dairy.

Karen Knowler is a great Raw Food/Lifestyle Coach, i love her down to earth approach.

Nutty Bliss!

Thanks for this - so much!

I just made some from the video and am having a glass right now!

This is soooo tasty.

Can we also sometime learn how to make vegan salad dressings?

Namaste,
Kathy

I tried this!  I didn't know that tip on the lemons in the bathtub.  I am totally into learning more dressings.  The difference is amazing on the feeling on how the body feels eating this way.

Pure bliss!

I love the quote by Paul Newman:  “The embarassing thing is that the salad dressing is outgrossing my films.”

and a quote page on eating raw:

We are picking quotes for the month and adding them to Gaia so any you see feel free to post them and I will help put them into Gaia for you.

Thanks for the yummy start!

I can feel your enthusiasm Kathy….it happens to most people who discover this lifestyle, it's liberating on many levels.

That site, it's a cracker isn't it, we're extremely lucky that there is so much info out there at the touch of a button.

Yummy Bliss to you! (i know it's corny, but who cares)

Here is one to share…although many probably already have it…we use avocado's for everything as a substitute / add in for burgers, salads, dips, chips…etc.

Avocado's are not in our season, can't even grow them here! Am more than pleased to buy them…lots and lots…

Simple Guacamole Dip

For a family of 5…we use 5 to 10 for one serving…depending on size etc…

Avocado's - pulp removed - reserve pit / s
1 Tb. minced onion or shallot, what ever you got
1 tsp of mince garlic
1 tsp chili powder or fresh seeded, minced jalapeno's
Salt and fresh ground pepper for taste
Squeeze of lemon or lime juice to taste - I think lime is best!

Mix, mash and serve. Adjust seasoning to your number of avocado's.

Add pit if serving later this will help keep from going brown.

Enjoy!

I have 3 kiddies…who love it…simple, quick and healthy…we no longer use ketchup or mayo…I even add peeled, seeded and diced tomato's to it if up for it…!

I loooooove Guacamole…i wish i owned a dehydrator so i could make some vegan crackers to have with it. Avocados are a daily food for me and yes you're right, they can be used in so many dishes, they are an amazing addition to dessert recipes too.

Thanks for sharing Denim

Steph :-)

Vegetable Salad

Ah, salad. Personally, I get tired of eating the same old lettuce every day. Here are recipes for some of my favorite salads.1 Tomato
1/2 Red Onion
1/2 Cucumber
2 sliced carrot sticks
Your favorite Lettuce
add nuts (pine or sunflower)
3 Tbs Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1/4 cup organic virgin olive oil
1 clove crushed garlic
1 slice of red pepper (or yellow)
combine… add seasoning of himalaya salt
cut tomato into a flower with herb leaves to add on top and serve.
I made this Saturday for a party… tasted great!

ooh it looks delumptious!

I like to vary use a variety of green leaves along with lettuce - like baby spinach, water cress and herbs. We also often chop a fresh fruit into the salad - like segments of an orange, a little melon or apple, etc

We've been having smoothies for breakfast:

1 can coconut milk (I looove coconut milk)
1 fresh mango (peeled and de-pipped) or pineapple
1 banana
a splash of strawberry or orange squash
a little water
cubes of ice
1 T virgin olive oil (or any oil you love - I often use flaxseed or hemp)

blend and enjoy immediately
