CINNAMON OAT BALLS

~KES said Feb 3, 3:03 AM:

Here is a healthy treat that takes minutes to make.  In this recipe for 2, there are 13 grams of protein, 408 mg phosphorus, 138 mg magnesium, 334 mg potassium and almost 4 mg manganese and iron!

This recipe also contains 9 grams of dietary fiber.  High dietary fiber has been correlated with reduced cholesterol, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and many intestinal disorders.

 Ingredients:

whole oats (not rolled or steel cut)

raw agave nectar syrup

coconut oil

cinnamon

seasalt

1)    Grind ½ cup whole oats.

2)    Mix in 1/8 teaspoon seasalt and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

3)    Mix together 1 tablespoon each of agave, coconut oil and water.

4)    Optional - add 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger or cranberries or raisins, etc.

5)    Blend wet and dry ingredients with a spatula and roll by hand into small balls.

Have a ball!
