rules!

so here are the “rules”. everyone here is here with the purpose of discussing the existence of god. we all come here with different views and perspectives and it is always encouraged that we share them, this is how we will learn and grow. however because of the potential volatility of this subject there will be dissenting opinions quite often. the purpose of this group is to share what we think WITHOUT infringing on the rights of others. for instance there will be no name calling or asking someone to shut up because their ideas sound stupid to someone else. every idea is valid, every question will be considered. if the person felt strongly enough about something to ask it, then they deserved to be answered.

I like the rule that tell me to 'be myself”. It is like the rule to laugh spontaneously.

Shocking it was to read really. When I get email in box (email inbox?) and people have warning not to steal other ppl's ideas? How funny…. Warning to be nice etc. Funny funny funny…

Ppl need rules send them in inbox - rules like be nice or be good or dont steal - does show alot of not nice or good happen before already right? Must be ppl steal alot or …..?

Yes, mouse, like any open networking site, there are always problems and abuses. thankfully, i have seen very little of that personally.

     It is always good to respect others. When disagreements arise, the best policy is to agree to disagree. That way, you can respect the other person's point of view (without actually converting to it) while keeping your own views. I fully understand the opportunities for spiritual growth afforded in this pod but there are different forms of spiritual growth. The Lord has already given me my game plan but I get great practice in communicating my views to others which is always a valuable skill to hone.

Jen, Silly Old Bear and Mr, thanks for commenting on these rules, and giving us a chance to reflect on them. It's good to remember from time to time the context of our discussion, especially when we get into deep waters.
