Beauty can be serendipity itself

Last night at midnight I listened for the first time to a CD called “Tantra of Sound” by Jonathan Goldman. While listening my mind drifted to experiences at a local Korean Buddhist vegan restuarant called Amitabul (awakening in Sanskrit) owned by Dave Choi a chef who has cooked for the Dalai Llama.

Dave has a recording of the Dalai Llama doing a mantra. It was recorded by one of Dave's friends who gave him a copy. Dave would play it at the restaurant and I told him it was my favorite, so he would put it on when he saw me come in. I thought about how the CD I was listening to reminded me of that mantra. Oh, its NOT a mantra, but made me feel like the mantra does. And, I thought about how I wished I had that recording that Dave has.

Well, well! It doesn't take long to manifest what we need! Just a short time ago, Tai sent me a message telling me about some posts she'd made and that I should check them out. One was her video of Hein Braat's rendition of THE SAME MANTRA THE DALAI LLAMA renders! And, apparently, both are available!

You ain't just whistling Dixie, Tai!

A friend of mine had a first floor apartment on a very busy main avenue. It had a huge bay window and faced west. He wanted the light AND privacy. Being the incredibly creative Scorpio that he is, he found a way to have BOTH! And MORE!

He found clear, but opaque shower curtains with rectangular shapes etched into them. The etching acted like a prism when light would pass through, something you'd probably never experience in a bathroom. But, in his living room, especially in the afternoon when the sun was getting low in the sky, RAINBOWS all over his apartment, and as far back as his kitchen near sunset!

I appropriated his idea for my treatment room. It has a south exposure, so I get lots of rainbows in the winter and not much in summer. But, I literally walk (actually WORK) bathed in rainbow light!
