Absolute Acceptance

Bjorn said Apr 13, 12:54 PM:

Immediacy is the key to full understanding. Unless we're willing to take an absolute stand in a reality that is facing us all the time, we will continue to hash over old ground, never ever coming to an end of assumptions and ideas about life and reality.

When we see our non difference and accept our unity and oneness, there will be genuine communion and humility. Our yes will be a yes and our no a no. We will be free to know and not to know.

This does not require any time.

Yes.

Our monetary and power based infrastructure does not promote this.

Changes must be made.

What changes would you make?

Well I see it more like education. To be able to be a part, no matter how small of a part, of sharing a better understanding of Life and living. I especially have a passion to clarify religion and spirituality as to avoid the massive misunderstandings there. But without throwing out the baby with the bathwater like so many tend to do. I teach Aikido and my greatest joy is to see us coming together as a harmonious group, enjoying learning together, more than any ones personal proficiency in the art.

I attach value to the understanding of true communion, as that for me, is the final goal.

This “true communion”, how would you describe it?

This is what you attach value to and is your final Goal.

Bjorn, it's wonderful to see you active in Gaia again, and I'm very happy to read your posts here in the God Pod today.

Would you tell us more about your experiences with Aikido and the other ways in your life that you experience oneness with others?

Love,

Nicole

Hi Nicole, it's good to be back, thank you.

True communion: First it's a personal revelation of our undivided spiritual nature. Second, it's a personal realization that you are me and I you. Third, we experience a joint, mutually shared oneness in being. We literally become simultaneously aware of the same thing.

We as individuals can live with this true knowledge of our inherent unity but never really realize it = make it real. For this to become a shared experience we need to want to make this happen together. Then we can come to share in something much bigger than any one of us. Christians call this Holy Communion, sharing the Spirit.

True communion is when all conflict ceases, when people drop their defenses, when love commences, when we no longer hold each other at arms length.

We can facilitate this union even though people might not seek it intellectually through being this non-separateness ourselves. It affects people and they let their guard down. Aikido is a perfect system to show and demonstrate this physically through non-violent and non-opposing techniques. Demonstrating softness and strength together. The teacher must be this joy and demonstrate his/her own oneness with the other.

It is very difficult to convey the concept of unity but everyone recognizes the fruits; joy, happiness, expansion, release, etc.

It is the final goal as the problem is strife, struggle, separateness and disunity so the solution is a return to what we really always have been; unified and at one. As one people under a greater mystery called for better or worse God, our Father.

But that is most likely just the starting point. Just imagine what we could achieve when we begin to walk as one. Imagine if your or mine circle of friends begin to come together in this very unusual way. Because it is different and new. It is not our common experience even though we do all get to taste the fruits of union once in a while.

In Aikido I try to make people soft and pliable yet strong in relationship to another. We learn to be with each other. Here on Gaia I'd like to commune with others in this unfolding exploration of our fundamental unity.

Bjorn, Alan,

We get these glimpses, tastes as you say, at times of what it could be to have that kind of true intimacy, no defenses. But it would be amazing if all our interactions with each other were thus.

All over, whether on Gaia or elsewhere online and in our day to day lives, you can see the longing for true communion. But the fear and defensiveness rise up and communications break down.

How do we get past the fear together?

Re: Absolute Acceptance

Alan said Apr 14, 7:28 PM:

We can love and respect the god in eachother as much or more than the sky god, or the god within oneself.

That means ultimate respect of the other and their opinions.  And it means creating and fostering respectful opinions, that respect the reality of other people's reality.

It means the bravery to face ones OWN fear, and to fight that fear, rather than fight what is feared.

Openness, complete acceptance.  A worthy goal, although the best of women and men have not always, in every instant of their lives, managed to attain it.

Non-attachment, however, demands they forgive their own failures, and continue.

The nobility, purity and power of the journey is not in the destination, but the journey.

Alan, how eloquently you express what this group has been about from the very beginning. The forgiveness of failure and going on is so vital because we will and do fail, over and over again. It's beginning again to begin again that helps us move a tiny step closer to our goal each time.

Love,

Nicole

Arrgh my reply got eaten.

Well in one way it's not that difficult as it comes down to when you and I meet. Do we then want to meet hands down? Like here on Gaia, do we want to explore our common ground and unity, or not?

We can always treat people right. But meeting other people that want to explore the same thing is not that common, especially exploring something so outrageous as our Oneness.

But there is such an ease to live this as nothing can contend with it. Once you take it upon yourself to live as there is no other, suddenly all problems cease to bother you. Only because you can now see with such clarity, and you know love is the only solution. And isn't love in essence oneness?

Confidence in another gives you the strength to meet face to face. Together then, shall we solve whatever needs to be solved.

That sounds good to me, Bjorn.

By the way, did you try to resend your post? One can nearly always retrieve a post that seemingly was gobbled by the Gaia Monster with a resend.

Love the vibe of this thread! It has been dormant for a while… Time to breath some life in to it =)
What I aim to do, is to, from the inner depth of me;
1 feel-again all
2 re-cog-nice all
3 re-member all
1, 2 and 3 is saying the same thing.
through recognizing even the unrecognizable we become a 3 way portal of grace… grace being the imminent presence of spirit… remembering our self takes no time… just keep feel-again…

Raz, really appreciating the way you are finding these dormant threads, thanks~!

Your approach of feeling, recognition and remembering sounds very practical and helpful.
