I SAID, WHEN I SHALL CON"

"BELOVED Vale!" I said, "when I shall con
Those many records of my childish years,
Remembrance of myself and of my peers
Will press me down: to think of what is gone
Will be an awful thought, if life have one."
But, when into the Vale I came, no fears
Distressed me; from mine eyes escaped no tears;
Deep thought, or dread remembrance, had I none.
By doubts and thousand petty fancies crost
I stood, of simple shame the blushing Thrall;
So narrow seemed the brooks, the fields so small!
A Juggler's balls old Time about him tossed;
I looked, I stared, I smiled, I laughed; and all
The weight of sadness was in wonder lost.

William Wordsworth

      Thank you Nicole - it is a blessing to find God's light within and even more of a pleasure to find this light reflected in our relationships with one another...

First verse of "To a Sky-Lark" - William Wordsworth

Up with me! up with me into the clouds!
For thy song, Lark is strong;
Up with me, up with me into the clouds!
Singing, singing,
With clouds and sky about thee ringing,
Lift me, guide me till I find
That spot which seems so to thy mind.

      love the poem ....

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening - Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake

The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep

      "Kilmeny had been she knew not where,
And Kilmeny had seen what she could not declare;
Kilmeny had been where the cock never crew,
Where the rain never fell, and the wind never blew.
But it seemed as the harp of the sky had rung,
And the airs of heaven played round her tongue,
When she spoke of the lovely forms she had seen,
And a land where sin had never been;
A land of love and a land of light,
Withouten sun, or moon, or night;
Where the river swayed a living stream,
And the light a pure and cloudless beam:
The land of vision it would seem,
And still an everlasting dream."

"Durante" (as quoted by George Macdonald)

      Depression is far more common than many know, my dear friend. And I have noticed Gaia, as it attracts sensitive beings, attracts people susceptible to depression. But it's ok, we just have to learn how to work through it together.

Much love,

Nicole

      I believe this discussion brings up a pivotal point in any religious belief, whether or not to follow them in times when they contradict a wrong done in society. Some people won't get their children medical help because their religion teaches them the God will heal them (in the U.S. The local government usually steps in to force the parents to get their children treatment because human life outweighs the right to religious freedom. There are other examples of this but I hope you get the point I am trying to make while my family is yelling "Dinners ready!" for the thirteenth time and I am trying to complete my thought.

      hi all, another note on this topic: i found it interesting how god (adida) eventually blamed humans for the sorry state of the world-you just won't surrender to me because you love your egos so much; and of course, the opposing accusation throughout history- we blame god for being impotent and weak or being a vacant landlord in the face of the problem of evil......hmmm...........

perhaps the coming century will be a battle between the empiricists and the transcendentalists with integral being the referee..........

      There are regression crashes and shipwrecks too. As German history of 20th century clearly shows. We all can learn from these dark times, Tomorrow we celebrate 20 years after fall of the wall in Germany.

Freedom alyways needs tough and unshakable determination!

Albert
