Comfort In Changing

The pain inside
A sticky grime
Grows more and more
Slowly in time

Forgetting discomfort
Making it norm
The calming precursor
To the big storm

Comfort in staying
Afraid to make change
Taking the first step
And then rearrange

Sort out priority
Start tackling issues
Some aren't easy
Require more tissues

Finding yourself
A new self discovery
Removing the hurt
Starting recovery

Enjoying the new life
No need to worry
Ending the chapter
Begin a new story

I love your poem… I have gone through a similar situation… afraid to make a change… finding myself (or trying to- lol!) - beginning a new story!  Thanks for sharing.

I can relate to this experience. Yes the pain, and if we do go through it we do gain a new experience and a liberation of what we though was imprissonment.
I loved this poem it flowed and the form was easy to follow.
