The Presence of Mean and RudeJohn D said Jul 19, 2006, 8:06 PM: |

The greatest opposition that we have to inspiration is not Satan or the Devil, but it is the human being that harbors the unnecessary and unproductive spirit of ugliness that manifests itself in behavior that is mean and rude and, most of the time, for no apparent reason. Too often, we are downright mean and rude to one another without provocation and such behavior is in direct opposition to the law, the purpose, and the will of God, that is love. Manners and courtesy, in many incubators, are forgotten traits and meanness and rudeness have taken over. Once we allow our spirits to become transformed into anti-muse by anti-muse, we begin to oppose inspiration at all costs, first internally, then externally. Once we have surrendered our hearts, minds, bodies, and spirits to our disenchantment, we lose inspiration and positive energy. Once we lose inspiration, the ugliness travels internally until it is manifests externally. Ugly spirits manifest themselves in the form of mean and rude behavior. Once we allow ourselves to wear the mask of ugliness, we are more prone to disrespect, to harm, to attack, and to fight. The most dangerous creatures on Earth are the anti-muses, those persons, places, things, and ideas that minimize and seek to destroy our inspiration. The ugliness - the meanness and rudeness - of anti-muse is real. The ugliness of people hurts; the negativity of people kills. We have a constant battle to fight; the fight is constant and ever-present. The purpose and the goal of anti-muse are real. Our opposition is not a mythic figure that seeks to steal from us, to harm us, or to end our lives, but it is the very person - who may or may not know us, but who comes into direct contact with us just to minimize or to destroy our inspiration. |

Put distance between you and your critics. “Choose to align yourself with people who are like-minded and love-minded in their search for simplified inspiration. Give those who find fault or who are confrontational a silent blessing and remove yourself from their energy as quickly as possible. Your life is simplified enormously when you don't have to defend yourself to anyone, and when you receive support rather than criticism. You don't have to endure the criticism with anything other than a polite thank-you and a promise to consider what's been said-anything else is a state of conflict that erases the possibility of your feeling inspired. You never need to defend yourself or your desires to anyone, as those inner feelings are Spirit speaking to you. Those thoughts are sacred, so don't ever let anyone trample on them.” Thank you for putting up “Empowered by Poetry”. Poetry, songs, and music, I believe, are the most potent muses that can liberate sentient beings to freedom and universality. Peace, my brother. |

You are awesome Sian! RE: How do we maintain our inspiration? We maintain inspiration by keeping healthy our multi-layered shells. The shell is our mental, physical, and spiritual presence, the container that makes each individual and journey unique. Our shell begins with our mental and physical existence. The higher levels of our shell include the spiritual and hyperspiritual levels of existence. The four layers of our personal shell include: the mind, body, spirit, and soul. Outside of ourselves, we have a surrounding shell. This external shell contains the physical and spiritual environment surrounding us. Whenever we make a move, we alter our surrounding shell. Therefore, it is equally important to have a familiarity with the state of our surrounding shell and behave/ act accordingly. We have the capacity to keep both our personal and surrounding shells safe from the influence of anti-muse. It is necessary in order for inspiration to remain in tact. We can no longer allow outside influences, or ourselves, to prevent the growth of our spirits and the expansion of our positive energies. Failure to do so will result in our inspiration being jeopardized. Let's spread the word… |

Dischord is too often the bedfellow of too many people. There are those that would see all the beauty of our world smashed to small sharp stabbing shards to cut the feet of our children, darkening their souls with misery - blinding them to the beauty that is theirs to inherit. Lets choke the antimuses of this world with beauty and drown them in innocence. |

I think there is almost always a reason for meaness and rudeness. All too often the reasons are deep-seated pain which has been so caloused over that it becomes a hard shell of anger. |
