The weight of heart

Unspoken love, a load to carry
pressing down life
in contracted aches.
Screamed out love, unleashed madness
broken china and elephants
howling at the moon.
Whispered love, like feathered kisses
even the deaf will understand
their lingering echoes.

Yes it's pretty real isn't it?  I guess most of us are familiar with all aspects at some point in our lifes.

The images of love that you create in this poem are resonant. Thankyou.
Particularly 'the unleashed madness' that I can see, hear and touch in 'broken china and elephants/ howling at the moon'. It's painful yet stark…and the encounter with that moment is for me, the gift of your poem.
