Don't Cry

ayla said Sep 7, 2006, 4:10 PM:

She came out of the light and out of the blue
Friendship and kinship she seemed to inbue
We talked
We laughed
We shared
I liked her.

She came out of darkness and out of the lie
And set my safe world spinning awry.
We screamed
We shouted
I did not like her at all!

and then one night I had a dream.  she came to me.  and she was crying.  she seemed so small, so lost.  i held her and loved her best that I could.

I woke up out of sleep and out of the dream
Love her, never, I screamed!
I paced
I fretted
I still did not like her at all!

days spent in distress.  months spent in confusion.  could I not love everyone else, just not this one person? how to love one who seems so cruel?

Oh and then! I came out of the ego and into the now
And as I let down my rigid highbrow
I laughed
I danced
And found that I love her.

ayla,

You brought a smile to my face with this poem!

You just gotta appreciate the craziness of life sometimes! You love ‘em, you hate ‘em. Up down, spinning round and round. Seems like madness to me. But you gotta appreciate it, have fun with it, or it will be bigger than you.

Seems like you did that perfectly when you “came out of the ego and into the now”.

Thanks,

Much love,

Nicola

Thank you, Nicola. This was something that really nagged me for the longest time it was all just so crazy!  It's so much nicer to laugh and dance and love!  I was afraid my words migh have too much negativity so your feedback was heartening.  Thank you again.

Much Love & Laughter!

Ayla

I totally understand! Everyday, I hold my head, saying “this is crazy”, as I witness the insane logic and antics of my 3 & 6 year old! I don’t know how old you are, but Bill Cosby used to have a comedy LP where he would talk about the craziness of children…

Somewhere up above, some alien life forms are looking down at us, shaking their heads in disbelief too!

I’d rather laugh and dance and love with you ayla than get carted off to the loony bin, because I just couldn’t wrap my mind around the insanity of it all!

Much love,

Nicola
