On Miracles, Co-Creation & Manifestation

ON MIRACLES

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein ~

I guess I live and relate more to the latter than the former.
I believe in miracles, whoever their maker and creator is.
What if Miracles are not what we SEE, but what we ARE?…

What is a miracle anyway? In my eyes and current beliefs, life itself is miraculous and the universe is full of inexplicable wonders, but I have a different ‘definition’ of a miracle that the more commonly accepted one.  According to most dictionaries, a miracle is “an event that appears unexplainable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.” And here are, where the contradictions start.

One of the disconcerting aspects of miracles is that they seem to call for God to intervene in a normally orderly and seemingly well-functioning universe in order to produce something special. That said, since most religions conclude that God is our creator, therefore making life itself ‘supernatural’ in origin and even ‘normal’ events and occurences - ‘seemingly miraculous’. In this framework a miracle can be interpreted as an oddity, an exception of some sort to the work of creation, a meddling with a world that is operating well…

From another point of view shared by Voltaire: “A miracle is the violation of mathematical, divine, immutable, eternal laws. By this very statement, a miracle is a contradiction in terms. A law cannot be immutable and violable at the same time…. God cannot do anything without reason; so what reason could make him temporarily disfigure his own handiwork?”

Consider yet another one by George Bernard Shaw:  “A miracle, my friend, is an event which creates faith. That is the purpose and nature of miracles. They may seem very wonderful to the people who witness them, and very simple to those who perform them. That does not matter: if they confirm or create faith they are true miracles. “

How about the other extreme, boldly pronounced by Pablo Picasso: “Everything is a miracle. It is a miracle that one does not dissolve in one’s bath like a lump of sugar.“

Are you not surprised that people will consider and declare a miracle the spontaneous appearance of a saintly image and not the incredibly intricate movements of our fingers, the amazing overnight blossoming of a flower, a child turning sounds into words, a bird’s first attempts to fly or the indescribable calm before and after the storm,… Have you considered that may be the same energy, intelligence and power/love is required to turn a seed into a lovely plant or tree as is to turn the water into vapor then ice and then back into rain?

What if the same idea and activity is needed to turn a child into an adult or to even turn the dead into the living? What if the only difference is in our expectations or ability to see, imagine or manifest rather than the power of this ultimate force and energy to make it happen? I am always amazed that we are surrounded by so many incredible gifts, joys and miracles – one of the most amazing of which being our own ability to co-create, appreciate and share them.

For me
MIRACLE means to accelerate the ‘inevitable’. To manifest the ‘unexpected'. To ‘bring the future to the present’ with higher intentions, consciousness and level of energy. To co-create wonders with Joy & Love.

What AM I?

Am I the WITNESS of miracles unfolding one after the other?
Am I the MIRACLE itself in all levels, dimensions and realities?
Am I the MIRACLE MAKER, co-creating & enjoying altogether?
Am I the MIRACULOUSNESS itself - the infinite, beautiful process of creation and being?

I would love to hear / read / know YOUR answers / questions / ideas…

This description is wonderful; these are some of  the signs and ways I seem to experience joy. The more deeply I peep within me and the world outside the more deeply I feel everything is a miracle from the perspective of the whole. Everytime I move through my fear and resistance and insecurities I also step into joy and feel more alive. When synchronicities manifest in perfect timing and place like universe arranging all the ducks in a row, so to speak I jump with joy. When time space and psychological barrier disappear magically and things/people/event seem to appear out of nowhere I experience a miracle!

Reading a book Joy riding the Universe channeled by sheradon bryce 1993. Finding many answers to my questions about how the universe works.

Love you all

Mita,
Welcome and thank you for your wonderful comments and contribution. Isn’t it such a great validation that we are aligned with spirit when things manifest with ease as if time and space disappear and we are so in tune, in the zone and/or in the flow of it all? That’s what miracles are to me and what true joy really is.

Thanks for the great book recommendation as well. Based on it and the several other great reviews that I recieved and read, I just ordered it through Amazon and am looking to share more as I immerse myself more in the Joy riding this Universe!

Another great favorite of mine on the subject is Martha Beck’s “Joy Diet”. It has to be read and applied to be truly enJOYed, but it is the best and most joyful diet out there!

More Love and Joy to you,
Darina

What is a miracle?
Dictionaries give us a range of definitions but it seems that we can narrow the answer down to this individual statement: “Something for which I can offer no explanation or cause”.
Thus, the answer to the question becomes personal - each according to their knowledge at the time.
By one of the dictionary definitions everywhere we look there are miracles. Hence, without bothering to work out what is a miracle we can simply enjoy it, the vast array of it.

I have been thinking further.
What is miraculous, and therefore a miracle, is the organization required to 1. Create and maintain the complexities of the universe [and any others that may exist] and 2. Create, co-ordinate and maintain the unimaginably complex pattern of events required to fulfill the karma of all the 6 billion or so souls on Earth and the 54 billion in between Earth sojourns.
As one can only try to imagine this takes enormous power of Thought.
However, when we are able to activate this degree of Thought power ourselves this will, of course, no longer be a miracle!

Ian,

“My heart is singing for joy this morning! A miracle has happened! The light of understanding has shone upon my little pupil's mind, and behold, all things are changed!”, Anne Sullivan exclaimed

The more we know, the more we realize how much we don't know, therefore unless we know it all and we are it all, the miracles will never end and the joy of their discovery either…

Let's enjoy the miraculous miracle of miraculousness,
Darina
