Jesus was ... a Woman :)

Joy Bringer said Aug 6, 2006, 5:22 AM:

JESUS was…

Recently, at a theological meeting in Rome, scholars had a heated debate on the subject of the ethnicity and nationality of Jesus. One by one they offered their evidence -
Jesus was Mexican -
1 His name was Jesus
2 He was bilingual
3 He was always being harassed by the authorities

But then there were equally good arguments that…

Jesus was black -
1 He called everyone “brother”
2 He liked Gospel
3 He couldn’t get a fair trial

But then there were equally good arguments that…

Jesus was Jewish -
1 He went into his father’s business
2 He lived at home until he was 33
3 He was sure his mother was a virgin, and his mother was sure he was God

But then there were equally good arguments that…

Jesus was Italian -
1 He talked with his hands
2 He had wine with every meal
3 He used olive oil

But then there were equally good arguments that…

Jesus was Californian -
1 He never cut his hair
2 He walked around barefoot
3 He started a new religion

But then there were equally good arguments that…

Jesus was Irish -
1 He never got married
2 He was always telling stories
3 He loved green pastures

But perhaps the most compelling evidence…

Jesus was a woman -
1 She fed a crowd at a moment’s notice
2 Men didn’t understand her
3 Even when dead, she arose to complete her work

Boy, this brought a smile to my face!

Whatever we choose to believe, there will always be evidence to support it. For me, I find in this moment that I have no attachment to whether or not Jesus was woman, man, French or an alien. I guess if I did, I might be getting upset at your post and trying to get somebody to see it my way!

I do love the message and the teachings that come from Jesus. That feels like a constant…

Thanks Darina!

Re: Jesus was ... a Woman :) & The Zen Master

And since I enjoy knowing you are smiling, here comes some more…

A student comes to a Zen Master and asks:
“What happens to us after death?”
And the Zen Master says:
“I don’t know.”
The student is aghast.
“You don’t know!?! You’re a Zen Maser!”
“Yes… but not a dead one.”
