There is much we can learn from reconnecting with our fear/s.
So here are some recent insights gained from the exploration & inner dialogue… FEAR INSIGHTS cc Darina S.'06 False evidence that appears real or illusion of separation A trick of the mind or useful sign of being on the path to freedom Fearless and unafraid, noble or naïve expectations of courageous souls The fear of fear is worse than suffering and pain unless accepted Facing curiously exploring fearlessly with loving presence Time to demystify and love it to extinction with real compassion Thanks to Denis/deze333 for the inspiration behind those insights and for the beautiful fire image. Fearlessly Facing my Fearfullness with Joy… What about you? :) |

Today, I was enjoying a quiet moment in the Swedish sauna at my club when a young woman sitting there offered that she was tired from staying up all night, from working on a speech she had to give later that day. She she she was nervous and afraid about it. Silence floated in the healing warm invigorating air. I thought say something to encourage her but hesitated because she was so open and lovely about her feeling that way. I did not want to intrude on a private think aloud moment of hers. Finally, I said to let go of the fear you have at being perhaps found lacking in the minds of others. Give the speech as if you only had yourself to please… she thought for a moment and said thanks for the advice, I will. Fera and joy together in a chance encounter at a health club. What more proof do we need of the Divine? - Mimir |

![]() “Ring through the Mountains” by Vive Le Rock Go Within When the road you are traveling, takes a sudden turn and you find yourself standing at the edge of a precipice with nowhere to go …go within. When you’re blind-sided by an unexpected turn of events that threaten to bring you to your knees …and you feel as though you can’t go on…go within. When lightning strikes and all that is left of your life is a burning ember flickering in the night… When your strength is washing away in a deluge of despair… and you cry out into the darkness but there is no one there, When answer to “why” defies all reason and you struggle for hope and understanding… it is then that you must go within. For within you lies your strength, your spirit and your salvation… the wisdom and counsel of the ages… abiding love, forgiveness, acceptance and the will to begin again. Go Within
Very true, but I sat here thinking - how does the novice “Go within” and, having gone within, how does the novice bring the Truth and Understanding to the surface? |

I trust that some part of me knows exactly how to “go within”. That trust in myself to have the answers, if my intention is to truly get them, has never steered me wrong. I remember this January, I was doing a course and was struggling to figure something out. A friend of mine suggesting appreciating the space that I was in, struggle included, and to really have the intention to have resolution by the end of the day. Amazingly enough, we both sat down to listen to the most incredible workshop and tears started to roll down my face, because my questions started being answered in what the man was saying. Ask and you shall receive. Very true to me. And we have to get out of our own way to let the answers come - allowing the Truth and Understanding to the surface. Much love to you Ian! Nicola |

So true! As someone told me recently. being groundless is such fertile soil for growth. (I had both parents pass on and my long time spouse leave a year ago, but I have made more forward/ inward motion and growth in the past year by going within. I also rely on my faith in a higher power that made me whole, complete, and wise now–all I have to do is listen to the still small voice within.–Be well-Lotusflower |

I posted this on the Empowered by Poetry site, but wanted to add it here too:- Darina, such exquisite couplings… your words with the artistry. From our beingness comes the inspiration about what if anything we should do. When our actions are divinely inspired then it does not feel like struggle, like we are working too hard or like we are trying to force things into creation. It then is a natural unfolding for us to get the very things that we desire… All starts with our beingness… Thanks for your precious gift! Nicola |

I love this thread. It makes feel I am not alone learning from fear. Fear directs me to Love, Compassion, Courage, Patience, and Faith. The One is All-Embracing. Instead of denying, struggling, fighting fear, I found out accepting and acknowledging it can lead to growth. |

![]() Take it as a X-mas insight, revelation, poem, illusion, creation, heartcry and/or heartsong. Whatever it means to you or whatever it is. For some things just are. As we are. May we Be. I lost myself along the way Amid all my fears and searching I forgot my real essence And fell into a crisis of purpose I tried this and that and more I failed many times in many ways I picked myself, I willed myself I disappointed myself, others, in & out Until I realized something so obvious So liberating & beautiful So simple That what I need is not love But to Be Love To Be Me ~ I also realize that during the holy days many of us are feeling blue for variety of reasons. You can always submit a prayer request online at UnityOnline.org for whatever reason. You know that the answer WILL come one way or the other. So be blessed!

Change is the inevitable constant that surprises us, challenges us, makes us resist, appreciate, cry, laugh, forget, remember, trust, contract, pretend, avoid, give, learn, grow, embrace, awake, transcend, just be and start all over again in the mystery, paradox, beauty and awe of it all…. I Changed ~ I changed my address From abiding in my brain To vacationing in my body I changed my home From existing in my mind To living in my heart I changed my focus From trying to change the world To changing nothing but/even myself I changed my vision From sensing with my eyes To seeing beyond the senses I changed my identity From struggling human doing To joyful spiritual being I changed my purpose From bringing joy to all To being joy from within I changed my motivation From searching for meaning To making each moment meaningful I changed my goal From avoiding a broken heart To offering my heart to the broken-hearted I changed my desire From care-free bliss in the future To living heart-fully in the now I changed my attitude From all I need is love To all I be is love I changed nothing I changed everything I am the change that never changes cc Darina S.'06 |

Absolutely perfect Darina! When I look forward to life as one big adventure after another and I am thrilled with the anticipation of “what’s coming next?” it always feels like Christmas eve and I can hardly sleep, so excited about what’s in all of those packages. It’s a child’s delight that is so sweet. It is such a nice change to being mired and restricted by adult rules and regulations that nobody puts on us but ourselves…. The discovery that “I create it all” to me is so freeing. I can choose fear or I can choose in any moment to feel something different, like curiosity, awe and amazement. Much love, Nicola |
