Dear All,

I have some exciting news!

I have been in contact with Ward M. Powers (Creator and Director of the film, ONE: The Movie) and Karen Jacobson, the ONE Movie public screening coordinator.

Karen, and the ONE Movie team have been generous enough to offer our Zaadz Zaangha Groups the “Small Group” Package discount for this Global Screening Event! The regular price for the screening package is $250 (50 people at $5.00 a ticket prepaid), however, each Zaadz group participating in this screening event, is being offered the “Small Group” package rate of only $50.00 plus $9.95 for S&H! The package includes a signed copy of ONE: The Movie DVD, the study guide and soundtrack!

This is great news because it makes it possible for most, if not all of our Zaadz Zaangha groups and others to participate! And, that is the purpose of this project: to get as many people around the world to host a screening (on the same day!) so that we can spread the message of ONE and sow the seeds of Zaadz at the same time.

I would like this to truly be a synchronized Global Zaadz Zaangha “ONE Day-ONE Movie” event in order to spread the message of ONE and generate “ONE energy” in as many parts of the world in a 24 hour period as possible!

The next step is to decide on ONE day/evening to screen the film globally. It will most likely be set for early 2007 to give us enough time to fund raise if need be, order the DVD package, advertise and spread the word to invite members of the local community, and find a location for the screening (if not a member’s home), etc.

There is also some talk of having a global discussion group afterward. That could be done as a 24 HOUR Skype Chat possibly, but it is still just an idea at this point.

Okay, so what I need now, is to hear from any and all of you who would like to make a commitment to participate in this project. It can be a collective group (Zaangha) effort, or hosted by one member of each group – whichever works best for all involved.

If you are interested in participating in the Global “ONE Day-ONE Movie Screening Event…

Place a comment here on this blog or contact me via my Zaadz email, (Please put ONE Movie Project in the subject line.) Tell me you want to host a screening and let me know your idea for a Date or Day that you think will work best if you have any preferences. (Ultimately, it will have to be a date that works best for the most people involved.)

Then, I will post updates here and also contact the people and groups who want to be involved, with the details on how to order the “small group package”, the date of the 24 hour period we will be screening the movie, and other particulars.

My personal favorite is Keller Williams (www.kellerwilliams.net), he has came to the area quite a few times.

I'll just say he's a genious. He's like watching a band - but he does everything himself, and loops, and records and plays 12+ different instruments at different times to make it sound like a band is on stage. In short, he is a one-man-band.

Hello KC Zaadzsters,

I don't think I've said anything yet. I'm sort of a quiet type. But here is something of interest, maybe...

I am running in the KC marathon this Saturday. I will be wearing the Zaadz logo or a t-shirt, depending on how warm it is. I will be wearing the blue capri pants I'm wearing in my photo. If you see me, a Go Laura would be appreciated! If you really want to cheer me on, the below link has a map of the course. I run 10 minute miles.

The historic courthouse downtown will serve a gathering point for our day of mass resistance towards the Bush Regime, and will stand symbolically for our demand that justice be brought to this criminal admistration. We will begin to gather at noon, and hope to build strength throughout the afternoon. Then, we will relocate to the federal building at 5pm and continue the rally until 7pm.

Hi all, I enjoyed reading what people have said. I am also a self-employed graphic artist, working on issues of financial stability and livelihood, seem to have no end of fear to work through! Really wonder sometimes about how this world is put together and how logistically everything works--emotions, thoughts, actions, dreams, energy, motivation, etc, not to mention love and fear. I'm living and learning a lot. I'd like to hear more about people working through their challenges--in blog entries or however. Real life stories are my favorite. I'm working on one in my blog. Has anyone come across any blogs on Zaadz about spiritual growth paths, I mean, actually practical experiences people have had, not theory or methods or techniques? I would be glad to read them. Hello all,

I am interested in a variety of spiritual activities and social justice issues. I am currently very busy working on my dissertation. I am studying the Native American Church and how it supports recovery from addiction and alcoholism. I have been focusing more on spiritual activities lately. I have been all over the place in my religious studies, from a variety of our Lakota rites and other Native rituals, Eastern Yogas and tantras, I also studied religion for a while at Ottawa U. I decided on social work as a profession, rather than religion.

I enjoy networking with spiritual people. I am currently studying at the Lakota language, I have also tried to learn German, Spanish and English in the past. I play around with computers from time to time know just enough to really mess something up. I like to install linux operating systems on old computers and seeing what they wil do.

I have a wife and a daugher in college

Hi all, Glad to see so many Kansas Citians here! I am a local painter native to KC. I'm also a graphic designer working at Unity Village (Unity's headquarters near Lee's Summit--beautiful place to visit if you've never been there.) I teach yoga there now on Monday evenings. Also on Monday nights at Unity there's an insight meditation sangha that meets from 7-8:30. Actually, at the end of October there will be a weekend non-residential silent meditation retreat at the clubhouse. It happens twice a year. If anyone's interesed, let me know and I'll get you the info. My hubby and I are leaving town this weekend for a 2-week motorcycle road trip to the Smoky Mountains :) It's supposed to have some of the most exciting roads in the country. I ride a Sportster and Brady rides a Buell--it's the only way to travel! Zen and the art of motorcycling. I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing you around town! peace, Jenny

Hi, I really enjoy a good live band but I don't know much about the music in the metro area or acts that come here to smaller venues. Perhaps some one could post bands and artists that they have enjoyed and descibe the music. I heard Del Castillo at the Grand Emporium awhile back, they were from Austin and here partly. The band had twin guitar players that played some awesome latin jams.

Hey all- It's so cool to see so many KC folks on Zaadz. Looking forward to connecting with everyone some more. My main passions are personal development, life coaching (I am working toward a transition to doing life coaching full time, but not certified yet), music, and movies.

Speaking of music, I saw a killer show last week. Built to Spill was at the Bottleneck. They really put on a good show. They are the band that I'm paying most attention to lately. Love to see good live music, which fortunately KC seems to have plenty of.

Anyone planning on going to see "Conversations With God" at Unity? Maybe I'll see you there...

Truth, maybe you've heard of or used it, but I've found that the "Pimsleur" language programs are great. They seem to me to be a more natural/meaningful approach to learning a language rather than just trying to memorize lists of words. Depending on the the retailer they can be fairly pricey, but I've found them in public libraries also.

I am wondering if anyone knows of, or is interested in drumming/drum circles in the KC area?
