SUN IN LIBRA

This year, the Sun entered into Libra September 23rd at 4.04am GMT; it will be moving into the next sign, Scorpio, October 23rd. There was a New Moon in Libra on September 22 at 11.45am GMT, which was followed by the entry of the Sun into this sign on September 23 at 4.04am GMT. Libra being the sign of unions, partnerships and marriages, this is of great importance for us and our world on its healing journey. Can you see how the Universe is thus providing special help for all those who are seeking healing? The way I work with astrology, I would say yes, you can most certainly tell when there are propitious times for everything, including travelling, moving etc. I have developed my own system of Moon Readings, based on the progressions of the Moon. Read about some of what is currently moving through your life. As you can see, it is a good time for moving house; for staying at home and feeling comfortable and snug there. But you may also feel drawn to travelling on or over water; a long-planned cruise maybe?

FOURTH HOUSE MOON PROGRESSION

About fifteen months ago, you entered a progression that is under the influence of the fourth house, which has been allocated to Cancer, the moon’s own sign; hence, the fourth is its natural house. This means that you are going to feel the characteristics of your Moon, as described in your birthchart, much more strongly; and this will continue for you for around another eighteen months. This progression is a time when you will either feel altogether more moody and emotional, or the characteristics of your native Moon could become more pronounced. Regardless of your basic nature and outlook on life, it is likely though that during this progression, you will act and react to all things and people far more emotionally than you would at other times do.
Gradually, you will become more interested in all private and personal aspects of your life, and you will encounter more than your usual share of people strongly under the influence of the Moon and Cancer. Home circumstances will now play a major part in your life. This could include moving house, building work, alterations, and home improvements, as well as decorating and investing in new furniture and fittings. This progression has such a strong domestic slant that it could temporarily be anchoring you firmly to home and family. You may have to take on more responsibility for relatives, in some way. Whether this is a source of comfort or an irritation to you, depends on your outer circumstances and inner attitudes. There will be more dealings with your mother, even if she has passed on already. If she has, you may feel the need to get in touch with her in the world of spirit, possibly to make peace with her. Most of your dealings will be with female friends and relatives, especially with older women and mothering types.
Feelings of family loyalty will now strengthen, and you could become interested in researching your family’s background. It is a good time for finding your true home and roots, your inner ones, and you may feel like delving into your past. You could set off in search of your roots, and study subjects like genealogy, history, as well as antiques. Stronger than ever before, you feel the need to identify with a group and to find your own place within it. This could be based on family, race, religion or nationality, and you could even experience a surge of patriotic feelings.
Frequently, you will feel the need to simply retreat from the outside world, and to sink into the comfort and security of your own home. You will probably have little desire to meet new people, but prefer to stay close to reliable old friends. You will enjoy new domestic interests and gadgets, learning how to use them in and around your home. You could work from home now or start your own small business from your own back room. You could get connected with shops in some way, for example by being offered a job in one or you could open one of your own. Whether you are male of female, one way or another, you will be getting far more concerned with day to day chores. The reason for this could be just about anything, including setting up a family or retirement.
You could become unreasonably possessive towards the people around you. At times, you may feel alienated, neglected and superfluous, and you may find that your moods fluctuate between sometimes wanting to be alone, and the next moment fearing loneliness. This flood of feelings, in itself, is nothing to be over-concerned about, and no matter how troublesome this may sometimes be, ensure to remind yourself frequently that you are dealing with feelings only. They are sure to slip into the past, as soon as this progression is over. Being aware of what is operating inside you, should help you to cope with this progression more easily.
Friends will cling to you and you will hang onto them. People you have not seen for years could suddenly come back into your life. The influence of Cancer will make itself felt in many different ways and you will enjoy dealing with women more than usual. A child conceived, during this progression, is likely to be a girl. You could start working with liquids and may feel so strongly drawn to the sea that you wish to live or work on or near it. Travel on or over water will be particularly enjoyable.
This is a time for making slow and gradual changes. You will feel the need to spend time to look inside yourself, and to review your inner needs and attitudes. Old habits could be seen as inappropriate to your present and future life, and you may decide that it is time to shed them, once and for all. You could either be setting up a family or continuing to care for one. Whatever you do, you will feel the need to keep your feelings hidden from public view. If one wishes to benefit rather than suffering from the energy that is available at any given time, one needs to learn to use it wisely.. This will not only stand us in good stead, but for the rest of this lifetime, but also beyond. There will be many opportunities for becoming more familiar with yourself and in touch with yourself, as well as for bringing your inner house in order.
You will now be so strongly influenced by the Moon that you could be feeling weepy and over-emotional, much of the time. This could be a considerable nuisance to you, especially if you are not usually the emotional type. For example, if you were born into one of the air signs, like Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, who normally function on the mental and intellectual level, rather than through the emotions, like the Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. You may feel so weepy that you and those around you could begin to wonder whether you might be ill. Rest assured, weepiness is part of this progression and there is nothing wrong with you. If you would like more information to help you cope better with the watery aspect of this progression, see the main part of your birthchart – if indeed you have one.
A word of warning though: If we do not wish to be considered a nuisance by the world around us, we need to avoid falling into the trap of acting out the downside of Cancer. As Cancerians have extremely high emotional sensitivity, their feelings get hurt all too easily. If not careful, they can be in constant danger of wallowing in self-pity and of being on the lookout for a shoulder to cry and lean on. And they can be blissfully unaware of how trying that is for the world around them to live with. It may be helpful to become aware that Cancerians are known to be expert manipulators of people. Try to watch out in case you feel tempted to act this way, too.
Needless to say, that is not what this progression is about! It is about homecoming – into our inner home – and for re-discovering one’s inner centre. All true strength comes from there, because it is our inner connection with God, the source of all life. Part of the process of working our way through to this inner centre is that memories from the past seem to want to overwhelm and haunt us. It may look like this on the surface, but they are not meant to be a nuisance to us. Yet again, this is something that is being given to us for good purpose. The experiences of the past serve no further purpose any more. We need to draw our learning from it, and then bless, heal and forgive ourselves and everything that was in it.
If we make good use of the energy that is available to us now, when this progression is over, we can get on with developing other aspects of our life, especially the creative ones. When we have done the work that is required from us, during this progression, its learning will stand us in good stead. When the next progression begins, to our amazement, we will find that we are coping with our life much better than we ever did before. So, if during this one, our feelings are sometimes threatening to overwhelm us, it is important to remind ourselves that we shall not always react this way. The more we rest safely in the knowledge that things will pass, the greater the ease with which we work our way through them. Instead of suffering from the flood of our feelings, how about tuning into them, working with them and getting some lasting benefits? Only what we seriously work on, becomes rightfully be ours and can be kept forever.

I have just taken the liberty to erect a birthchart for you, and I hope that you don't mind. I work with the Placidus House System, which I personally find the most accurate one, many times uncannily so.
According to this, your Sun is in the eight house - hence as you mentioned, there's a strong underlying Scorpionic undercurrent in your life. Your Ascendant is in Libra, Moon in Gemini in the ninth house. So far so good! Now, for you to find a better understanding of your pathway through life, I would like to suggest that you go to www.raysofwisdom.com and click on the section 'Astrological Writings'. Then read all about 'The Sun in Taurus' and 'The Sun in Scorpio', which also applies to a large extent to the Sun in the eight house. Then read 'The Sun in Gemini' and 'The Sun in Sagittarius'. Both have plenty of bearing on your Moon and its house position. Being a patient Sun Taurus, I trust that you can spare the time. And I would love to hear from you what you make of my interpretations.

Putting Myself Out There

This is something I have wanted to do for several weeks.

Today is the day.

Astrologically me:

I am full of diversity and vigor: Sun and Mars conjunct in Gemini, 9th.

My mental stability and speed, though tinged in stubbornness can be understood by Mercury in Taurus - 8^th house; I like the underworld and mysteries of life. Sun in the 9^th explains my philosophical life.

Darkness from the past pulls my mind as Saturn in the 12^th in Virgo is trine Mercury. It also squares Mars

I strive for the balance as my Libra ascendant - trine Mars and Sun pulls me to resolve mother issues as seen by Moon astride the MH in cancer, with Uranus in the 9^th posting with the MH as the midpoint; all in conjunction.

Pluto in Leo in the 11^th may suggest that my views as a psychologist will influence the general population. Venus is undeveloped at zero degrees Leo and leaves me wondering if there is more of a Cancer influence here. Pluto is a tight Sextile with Neptune for a good psychic boost.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, the years on end I spent in illusive pursuits - dreaming off in space as still I enjoy - is an obvious conclusion when we observe Neptune, trine my Sun (both at 16 degrees) in the 1^st house, conjunct my Asc.

Lucky Jupiter in Aires in the 6^th helps me survive my two totals of automobiles some thirty years apart; most recently this past June. Jupiter squares my moon.

So, what's the consensus..........................................
