Here's some Kosmic Blogging Pimpz Naikan-style. How to Practice Naikan ReflectionThe Three QuestionsNaikan reflection is based on three questions:
These questions provide a foundation for reflecting on relationships with others such as parents, friends, teachers, siblings, work associates, children, and partners. We can reflect on ourselves in relation to pets, or even objects which serve us such as cars and pianos. In each case, we search for a more realistic view of our conduct and of the give and take which has occurred in the relationship. |

I used to have a fairly negative relationship with my parents, and one year, on the plane ride up to visit them, I spent the entire time in the air asking myself self these three questions, specifically as they relate to each parent and covering my entire life. It improved things almost as if by magic. I suppose I should be blogging this… (gah! My words enbolden and italicize when they follow what I've pasted, but I can't seem to undo these things! apologies) |
