this thread is for rants, raves, reviews of the uber-super-cooolossal book, The Wisdom of the Crowds. IMHO, this book is a MUST-READ for all Podwans, Zaadzsters, and what not.

Actually, I'm reading an article right now ABOUT this book, in Discover magazine.  The reviewer is a little skeptical.  After all, it's too easy for a crowd to become a mob (and those are never wise).  But I haven't even read the entire article, much less the book, so I'm reserving judgement.  I look forward to hearing what everyone else has to say about it.  Right now my reading list is too long to add this to it: The Rhetoric of Fiction, Terminus Brain: Environmental Threats to Human Intelligence, Henry James's The Art of the Novel, and Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy, all as prep for my own novel…egads!  But if it seems worthwhile, I'll certainly add this to it.
