That's a great piece, ~C4Chaos. I like how it relates to businesses. I was at a college library meeting this spring in which we discussed things like creating a profile for the library on MySpace or other “teen” infused blogging sites in order to blog about our services in the hopes that new college students would see them. We're looking for ways to show college students scholarly resources that our colleges subscribe to that you can't get (free) on the public web. There is an article in a recent trade journal about a library that has been very successful blogging on MySpace and Facebook. The students actually smile and greet the librarians when they walk in the door. Duh, huh?

sweet. do you have the hyperlink to this article or journal? or do you at least have an electronic copy? i'd like to check it out. sounds very interesting. maybe we can learn a lot and apply those to Zaadz.

The article is titled “Do You Facebook? Networking with students online” by Brian s. Mathews.  It on p. 306-307 of the May 2006 issue of College & Research Libraries News. This, unfortunately is only available through subscription. If we could attach files here, I would attach a pdf of it for you, but alas!

Great article… saying the same that I've heard and she's gathered elsewhere.  Not that everyone wants a gazillion readers - yet funblogging spreads fun and laughs and that can't be bad!
