Hello, my name is Stanislav and I decided to open this Pod for everyone to participate in.
My life as a gay man began not too long ago. I came out to my family and currently live with my partner in Sausalito,California.
I joined Zaads not too long ago and immediately fell in love with it. I found it wonderful that there can be so many like minded people in this world.
After looking at various Pods, I found that there are no LGBT specific Pods, aside from “Gay Spirituality”, which is a gem of a discussion group. What is needed is a Pod for everyone to gather and discuss current happenings and try and help each-other grow. I hope ever-one feels free to express themselves and help me improve this community.

Hello all!  I am Chris, a 34 year old lesbian west of Chicago, IL.  I have recently returned to college after a long, long time and in a tiny little city so far removed it's not even a suburb.  :)  Although I grew up in a community similar to this, let me tell you that progressive is NOT its middle name.  It's enough of a shock to be back in college but to also be in such a small community where I am now an alien again is really mind blowing.  I think I have forgotten, blissfully, the narrow minds you can come across sometimes in smaller communities.  I'm so used to being in Chicago and not thinking twice about looking too dykey or wondering about what people think.  It's so rare in the city to even come across people who give two hoots who or what I am.  It has been a difficult transition back into a world where I'm an oddity and a bit of an outcast.  Although, on the bright side, I'm not outed as often as you would think.  Luckily looking “rural” is an awful lot like looking “dykey”!!!  :)
At any rate, I'm happy to be part of our little pod and I hope we all continue to spread the word about the community and the pod to everyone we know.  I'd love to see this community grow like crazy.  I think it is a wonderful outlet for human expression.  I look forward to talking with you all!
