  Skydancer : Process of Being

Watching the Movie

I just came back from seeing this movie called “The Lake House” which was an okay movie, but really it was more impressive as a practice in remembering the projected nature of what I see in everyday life and how I play my part just like those actors. I get more engrossed in my part than the actors on the screen, but it's still just playing out the script of Mind.

After I left the theatre I continued to pretend that I was at a movie and watched myself like I was watching a character. I realized my script is a little boring, compared to the drama on the theatre screen. No wonder people create so much drama in their lives if they are expecting it to be like something they watch on TV. My life is a pretty boring movie. Pleasant and peaceful with moments of delight, but not exactly possessing a well crafted plot. Suits me fine that way most of the time, which is why that keeps manifesting in my life.

Can you see yourself in the movie of your life? Can you watch yourself acting your part? Do you ever step back and really feel like you're just watching an actor and not being involved in any real chain of events that is ultimately real, real without the mind that gives meaning to it, that is?
