Welcome to an exploration of applying metaphysics to the circumstances of everyday life. We are primarily a study group that encourages discussion. In the course of our study, we share with you, those teachings that we have found useful for riding upon the changing seas of life with awareness; and how to navigate your course, to shift your personal...(more) reality, into more comfortable spaces, after the appropriate expansion of awareness and growth have occured.
Here, you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for creating the unfolding of your life and by doing so, you become part of the current flowering of an expanded consciousness here on Earth.
Our studies utilize teachings from the Science of Mind philosophy of Ernest Homes and the Tao Te Ching of Lao-tzu, as well as other related metaphysical philosophies; such as, the Upanishads and the Law of Attraction (Abraham-Hicks). Spiritual writers such as Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Byron Katie, Gregg Braden and Neale Donald Walsch, among others, are also studied in depth.

debyemmWireless is back up. Divine assistance I suppose or intelligence guiding me to take the "right" step. Anyway, however it happened, I am grateful.(1 month ago)
debyemmOur wireless router is down and I may be very limited re: online time for the next few days.(1 month ago)
debyemmI moved the Rumi Quote to Related Philosophies, Books & Authors. The Rumi's in the Daily Guides are related to a book by Coleman Barks that breaks down some of the poems into daily readings. I think a thread devoted only to ANY quotes by Rumi anyone might want to post is a good idea. I have a new Coleman Barks book of more Rumi translations that will probably fit into there in the future.(2 months ago)
i asked him how to deal with an angry hombre. he got up and let a bee out the window.
and when i asked him how people could be so damned mean, he answered, “it's not that it don't rain in the desert, son, but that the desert's where there's been no rain.”
and he talked of the flower that draws both what it needs and what most needs it.
and he showed me the strong table whose legs were fastened under it rather than beside.
all these things he gave me.
and i asked him how to set myself useful.
he handed me a shovel and a trowel, saying, “to pour a foundation, you gotta mix the mortar and water just so. too much of either and the cement just crumbles.”
