debyemm I moved the Rumi Quote to Related Philosophies, Books & Authors. The Rumi's in the Daily Guides are related to a book by Coleman Barks that breaks down some of the poems into daily readings. I think a thread devoted only to ANY quotes by Rumi anyone might want to post is a good idea. I have a new Coleman Barks book of more Rumi translations that will probably fit into there in the future. (2 months ago)

A newby tries a Spiritual Mind Treatment

Jen said Dec 10, 2008, 6:13 PM:

The following was created based upon guidelines provided under another topic. I had a lot of fun with this. Made me feel very Whitmanesque. Some of the language may seem odd because I'm not used to putting my spiritual notions into words. Vive la difference!

I acknowledge the Great Integration, the Pattern and Harmony of the Energy that invests all being. I acknowledge the Great Exchange, the Great Transmutation, the Ever-Blooming.

I affirm that I am a part of the expansive Flow, the evanescent Pattern, the liquid Harmony which forms all being. I affirm that I am a manifestation both within the Flow and through which Energy flows to transmute the Pattern. I am the crafted and the crafter, the surfer and the tide. There is not separation, only the shifting of the form or the role of the moment. Contact and process never ceases. I am ever within the Great Integration.

I am blessed to be the guide and advisor, the peaceful celebrant and gentle leader, the explorer and forager, the evaluator and generator of possibilities. I am blessed to be a caster of light, a learner and teacher. I show people themselves and the world. I am blessed with uncommon intelligence and knowledge of the creative process. These are my offerings. These are my facets, my energies open for bonding. Send me those who can benefit from my energies. Let us be like streams joining, flowing past obstacles. Let the exchanges be balanced and harmonious. Let us part again each feeling equally blessed.

We are grateful for the Great Integration that naturally and smoothly matches those whose needs and gifts complement one another. We are grateful for Harmony and balanced Exchanges of mutual benefit. Praise Harmony. Praise Abundance. Praise Synergy.

I trust the Everpresent Flow t osend me those I can serve with joy who are capable of compensating me gladly. I'm open. I release this to the Great Stream. Let it be.

And here's one a little simpler and more focused.

I acknowledge the Energy that invests all being. It is Everblooming around me, within me, through me.

I affirm that I am encompassed within the Great Synergy, the Great Togetherness. I am part of the Harmony and the Pattern, blessed in the part I play.

May I embody Vitality in every cell, in all my tissues, in every body process. May my body be a perfect reflection of the flow of Energy so that I may better play my part in the Harmony and cast more light throughout Synergy and Pattern.

Praise be to Energy, Harmony and the Great Flow that invests me with Vitality so that I may play my part with a healthy body and a light heart. My every physical labor is a tribute to the Miracle of Synergy.

I trust the Great Flow, the Harmony and the Pattern to lead me to the foods, the exercise, the information, the doctors and all other sources of nourishment necessary to fill my body with Vitality. I am open. I release this into Ever-Blooming Abundance. Let it be.

Jen,

WOW.  What makes it work is making it your own.  It's the feeling you have that embues it with power.  So whatever anyone does when doing a treatment, if it keys them deeply into their link to Spirit and they get that feeling, like this is real for ME, words are irrelevant.

Yet, these are wonderful words and I'm enjoying reading this.

Vive le difference - indeed.  I literally feel the energy flowing and swirling around you.  And so it is.  Blessed Be.

Deb

Thanks, Deb. I really did enjoy initially writing these and rereading them. Thanks for pointing the way!
