Herracia Brewer<br /><br />BLENDED FAMILY<br /><br />This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.<br />Psalms 118:24<br /><br /><br />A mystic is not a mysterious person but is one who has a deep, inner sense of life and of his unity with the Whole.<br />The Science of Mind, page 327<br /><br /><br />VERY recently, I performed a wedding where the bride and groom were bringing children to this holy union.&nbsp; When this coming together of two families occurs, it is called a blended family.&nbsp; Blended families are on the rise.&nbsp; They have always been part of the fabric of American society.&nbsp; As the rate of divorce increases, a greater number of children are torn from what we have known as the traditional family.&nbsp; Now we see mothers and fathers bringing children from previous marriages into blended family situations.<br /><br /><br />When we look at the circumstances as a whole, blending is the connected unification for a different representation of a newly fused entity.&nbsp; When we blend families, the common denominator is God, the divine, omnipresent, eternal source that makes us all one.&nbsp; We are all one blended family for the purpose of loving each other in all things and at all times.&nbsp; We are brothers and sisters in the family of God.&nbsp; Once this is realized and really acted upon with commitment and respect, the universe as a whole will make a shift in peaceful ways.&nbsp; All will feel the effects of such a massive, conscious restructuring.<br />Change is slow, laborious, collaborative, joyous, spontaneous, and inevitable; however, it is also a natural process through which growth occurs.<br /><br /><br />Affirmation<br /><strong><em>My consciousness enfolds my sisters and brothers everywhere.&nbsp; The blending of the human family already exists in Divine Mind, a loving expression of the God Presence---the I AM.</em></strong> </p>
