 His CD release party was at a brick building open ceiling venue bought for the international film festival in Honolulu.

The crowd loved Makana and were his well wishers and revelers.
Makana talked of love, the essence of love, not the form, the nonessential being together, the wholeness of who you are love, without needing a partner, new love songs, truth, not lies, which honor differences.
