cute kitty TG, my cat Tiny was the same colouring, without the long fur! do you have to brush her, my mum's cat Ginger get's all knotted now she's older, (she's not keen on being brushed too much, so mum has to cut the knots out!) don't think she grooms herself much now, or is fed up with getting fur in her teeth !

Hi Mahakala - beautiful shot TG peeking out from behind the leaves, sort of mysterious…my cat Scooter (also male) used to tolerate a little brushing then hiss at the brush, if that didn't work he would try and bite the brush…failing that he would turn round on me and lash out, not good…

Hi, my name's RU and I live with Tai's mum - I love being in the garden and smelling all the lovely flowers…

RU is very soft and friendly and he follows mum around the garden, don't think he minds being brushed!

lol! yea, that's his “you are a pain” look. He is the most vocal cat I've ever met. If you scold him he sasses right back at you. I think he likes to hear himself. Can't help but be attached to him though :)

aw! i couldn't be mad at that face either! though he does have quite the personality! interesting kitty! when i scold my cat, she doesn't really care. she just doesn't really care. in one ear, out the other!

Warming himself in one of his fav perches! He's a friend, not a pet! Lives all around the neighborhood, but knows where to come for food, play and comfort!

Somewhat unimaginatively named Whiskers, love of our lives for about 4 years now!

He likes sitting ON the car; and even coming in whenever he can; but take him for a drive and he keeps meowing most pitiably! We found that out when we'd to take him to the vet!

Aw! Whiskers is so cute! he reminds of an alley dog.. the ones that run around, just like him! and THEN, that makes me think of Lady and the Tramp. don't know why, because i should be thinking of Tom from The Aristocats..because he's an alley cat! just like Whiskers.

You must have loads of fun with the little guy! he looks so sweet and his fur must me so soft :)

Lol, yes cats don't normally care to ride in the car, the yowling is horrible. But I used to know an exception. Pyewacket used to absolutely love it.Open the car door and in he went, right up on the back seat deck by the window and stretch out, look at you and say “well, let's go” He was a character! liked to rake your ankles as you walked by lol. very mannish.

Our cats used to hate going in the carrier in the car and they made horrid noises all through the journey to the vets, they may have known where they were going!  They did seem to like the journey better if we put a towel over the box for some reason and a towel inside the carrier, so they didn't slide about inside.
We did transport our 2 cats 100 miles once, one in the carrier and one in the front passenger foot space, Fluffy was happier travelling this way, she even managed to sleep a little…

Yes, Whiskers is ADORABLE!! Everyone in the neighborhood took pride in saying how they fed him; but I realized when I was back from a long trip to India once; that he missed us because he became so thin! My neighbor said he refused to eat from them.
That made me feel so sad!

And I even taught him to walk WITH me and not trip up by weaving in and out of my legs when he accompanies me around the yard or neighborhood sometimes! I just had to tell him, and he did it!

And once when I was doing tai-chi he went all crazy and began to show off what he could do; I've never seen him like that.

He puts thoughts in my mind–did I tell you?[ok, I'll stop raving abt him –we just all love him and that's that]

Aw! All the cats are so cute! I have 8 cats, so they're quite the handfull. I need to take some pictures of them all and get them on here, but I need a camera first. Anyways, my cats are named Ozzy, Percival, Bonkers, Junior, Havoc, Sniffles, Boo, and Mischief. Ozzy and Percival are the 12 week old kittens, and the others are adults. Some of the adult cats keep hissing at the kittens and I've been trying to get them to stop, but having little success. Anyone have any advice?

Love the names, especially Percival, lol, I'm a big fan of L'morte de Arthur.
as far as the hissing goes, I think they are just establishing the heirarchy and telling them to get out of their space. I once brought a kitten into an adults world and got the same results. Later after the kitten got older they were best of buds. Have fun, eight is a handful!!

Wow, 8 cats!  Ken and I had eight at one time so I know what that's like.  Eight is a lot and they will find it stressful.  You just need to reassure everyone of them and make they get enough attention.  They will hiss, there are new beings in their territory and they need to establish their hierarchy.

Make certain to add new litter boxes.  Eight kitties need lots of litter boxes and make some of them covered ones.  Have litter boxes on every floor of your house.  Lots of kitties can cause inappropriate toileting.  Get some Feliway/Comfort Zone pheramone spray and or plug ins.  That helps with potential toileting issues and helps calm stress.

Thank you Sattvamind and bufster3 for the advice. My brother was the one to name Percival. All the cats are outside, but I make sure that they don't get into the road or hurt in any way. The kittens are always trying to up to my dog, Trixie because they're not sure what she is. The dog doesn't like it too much, but she doesn't do anything to them. I'll try to get some pics on here as quick as I can.

Suni, Bonkers is doing fine. Though, she's the dominant female so she's been a tad bit meaner to the kittens, but I just call her name and she walks away from them. She's been starting fights with her sister, Sniffles, and I honostly don't know how much longer we'll be able to keep her. One of my friends said that he would take her in, which is a huge relief on  me.

Lol.. I was reading down the thread and in the beginning everyone's cat has beautiful philosophical names.. and I'm like.. .um.. I have a zwitter.. by the way.. His name is pronounced ZVEETer.. It's from a german song.. so the w is used as a v.

Anyway.. this is my love my familiar and my friend. Do not underestimate when I say that Zwitter is amazing. And I love him.
