Hello fellow animal lovers! This room is devoted to animal art! The art can be in any medium: paint, digital art, photography, pencil, etc..(poems and short stories can be posted in the Animal Poems room)

:) you're welcome! i was thinking that this would be a nice addition to the group. i know that the majority of things i draw are either abstract or animals, and i know that I myself, and many other people, love to see animal art. so i thought it would be a good idea! who doesn't like to see animal art? i don't know anyone!

hm.. i shall have to upload Alfred for everyone :)

the toucan is cool, as is the frog :)

and the mouse or whatever it is.. is so cute!!!!!!! I LOVE FURRY CRITTERS :D

I think the little mouse got scared and ran to the back of his cage when he saw my camera!  The meerkats just seemed intent on eating and keeping a look out on that giant rock of theirs …

meerkats are just adorable. i fell in love with them when i seen Meerkat Manor. ***and if anyone in this group has kids, i HIGHLY recommend that for both you AND your kids!***

Hi to all,
I took these photographs of a Siberian Tiger on a trip out west.  My daughter posted one on her facebook profile and one of her girlfriends labeled it:

                                “I am sooo damn sexy!”

I love tigers!  We adopted one when my son was young, think her name was Kiri.  I have a beautiful signed tiger print with elephants in the distance - I'll have a go at taking a picture of it to post here.

You're very welcome sweet Tai,  I would love to see the photo.  I have the book “When Elephants Weep”  and it was so painful to read many years ago I couldn't finish it, but one day I must summon the strength to finish it.

To discuss animals like we do is such a pleasure and a privilege isn't it?  It's like they are so worthy of our consideration and attention–they deserve it, don't they?

When we give our loving attention to an animal we have so many rewards, we smile with joy inside.  Our sense of fun and playfullness comes out, our compassion and sense of responsibility is enhanced.  Animals have so much to give and it is such a pleasure to give back…

You guys are going to turn me in to one of those “cat ladies”–you know the single, solitary, eccentric, type who fills her house with cats!  Good I hope it happens…I always loved and understood Cat Ladies (lol)!
