Poetry of the Heart and Spirit

samadhi said Jun 6, 2006, 12:04 PM:

zazen

inside small self
watching this mind squirm
dark spring day

I wrote this haiku after morning meditation….blessings to all beings

Love springs from many streams

samadhi said

in the deepest space of our hearts
A lotus blooms

when all hope is gone
life just as it is, reveals its' True Nature

the very same self that was habitually lost in forgetfulness
Remembers all things as One

when Beloved and lover merge
what trace of self can be found?

after the addictive throes of ecstasy dissolve
only this remains

no words can describe, no mind can logically find
come, deeply touch this

this is the essence of love

The Question

Because there are eyes, ears, nose, taste, touch, and mind

There is seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling, and thinking

Because these exist, there is contact

Because there is contact

There is this burning desire

How do you and I relate to each other with this burning desire and remain harmless?

lost in forgetfulness
pulled over hard ground by this delusional self
spitting out poisonous thought forms and afflicted emotions
every action of body and mind spoiled by self-grasping

pausing, inspired
stopping, calming
looking deeply, listening with the heart
remembering

from the mud a lotus blooms

on the fly
my hands are clean
inspired I fly
too dry

wow my thoughts are foggy
I can't see
nor can I do
I can only say one thing

no one will hear what I say
I'm not sure they can
the voices tell me these things
they tell me to rhyme too

but it's too confining
atleast when I'm whining
otherwise I'm dying
no, not crying

that I can't do
why?
*shrugs* the sky is blue
who?
*shrugs* probably you
where?
here, now, dumb dumb
when?
I said NOW!!!!

all I ask is one thing
all I want is one thing
just one thing will please
if I may
if I might
please don't let me die tonight =(
please?
I'll even drop my pants and sing!

Just one Taste
opens this invisible little self
all cultural decorations, rituals, and beliefs are stripped away
nothing is attained
no I, no Me, no Mine remain
a heart-burst releases streams of compassion, loving-kindness, and sweet joy

Where is this self now
complete interbeing
one cosmic-universal consciousness

Silent, ever present
completely free from identity
unknown, unknowing
AWAKE!

awake or sleeping
dead or alive

conscious?

no more food to eat
no more work to be done

I sit and wait
silently

my heart moves
my mind stands still
and I wait

earthing myself
I cannot come down
in the clouds I lie

Your breaths

Your waves

Let  me please be that inbetween

closer than skin

than eyes

than teeth

i could sing the desert of desires asleep

and dance gently through

it's tangles, briars and brambles

wind down to the pure still waters of love

there I'd be wating for me

lost and found

sleeping and wakefulness

two sides of the same thing

simplicity is easy

many things confuse

thinking

without words or voice

without thought or deed

without any but this

calling myself a name

I anger the greater self

which dwells everywhere

yet without words, none shall possess

none shall survive

save the last, which cannot be spoken of

together we find safety

together we must protect our knowledge

lest time shall fail

and thought cease

simply inspired

easily understood, but not transparent

covering that which is already hidden

silent knowledge

wordless expressions of my heart

continuous

not lacking, but still in the mist

the mist of my awakening

the greater spirit calls me, but I turn away in shame

and afraid of that which already is

how can I deny that which is?

do I deny that I know it?

or do I turn away simply because I yearn for something else

just wanted to offer something…

although perhaps I am asking…

perhaps both…

go see “An Inconvenient Truth”… It's Al Gore's (our real president) movie… it will blow your mind… if you didn't believe in global warming before, you will now…

SEE IT!… it's the movie of the year, without a doubt….

but I am wondering if it will win any awards?… *ponders*… probably not =)… heheheh

blessings,

Nic

“An inconvenient Truth” is an eyes opening, and reminding us about our impact on the earth. We take in from the earth every minute; have we ever asked ourselves what do we put out to our mature earth?

I do ask myself everyday now.

This little self just needs to say this:

I love you all and always will, even though I may never meet you in this life, I do wish deeply and sincerely for your good health, abundant resources, powerful protection, a peaceful mind, a loving heart, and for you to become fully awake, right here , right now, in this very life!

All blessings to you all, with deep respect and a very low and slow bow

Only Love can heal the deepest wounds!

May we all awaken together
