I responded thank you Bhattaji - oh Bhattaji, I am all goosepimples! I am so happy these young bright Lama's were with us! I have a sense that my previous life was as a Tibetan. I also am aware I have been Indian in previous lives. Very recently a Tibetan Buddhist nun gave me a beautiful little prayerwheel which was hand made by a monk and contains the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum handwritten by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which I wear round my neck and during our meditations I spin it for part of the time chanting the mantra Om Mani Padme Hung, releasing millions of these mantras all over earth. I also chant a mantra which feels like a good one for Gaia Minute, Om Gaia Om 108 times 3. I spend some time in a meditative state. Gien accompanies Gaia Minute at 9.09 South African time, I am happy to say! love |

Hello Suni love, no need to feel bad - what you're experiencing is not unusual at all. Its just going to take a little time and perseverance. Take a look through the meditation material in OLMW and try one out. I'll post them over here - Meditation For Beginners Let us know how it goes. Biig hug

PEACEHUNTER: thank you for the advice! hm.. what that sounds like is my “zoning out”.. perhaps that is indeed what i am doing, meditation, and i just don't realize it. most of the time i find i am doing this as i am off on my own doing some work, or listening to music, or just.. laying. i focus on some thought..and it branches out like a tree and grows.. is THAT meditation? |

Sunni, meditation means “concentration”, concentrating on anything/any object is called meditation. it is to be mindful on whatever one does, speaks and thinks. One does meditation not only to focus things during his sitting for hours and hours but also to learn to be mindful on whatever one does, speaks, thinks, sees, feels and so on. It means it's to be used/practiced in one's daily life. So, regarding your case, which you said that from one thought many thoughts branch out like a tree, for this you don't need to be worried too much. Why do meditation masters advice meditation practitioners to try to concentrate on one object/point/thought? it's because as ordinary people we daily engage in many activities under much pressure and with great tension that prevent us to focus on things and understand what exactly happening around us. If one can focus on one thing smoothly and knows what's going on around constantly then his thinking power or concentration would branch out on all the works that he is doing and things happening around him. What i'm trying to say is that if we can concentrate well on one thought/object then it would gradually expand concentrating on whatever thoughts occur, one or many, no matter, as long as one has good concentration. Therefore, if you are well mindful while listening to music, lying or doing your own works then it is meditation. |

We are blessed with Beloved Guruji's Guide To Prayer Prepared For The Gaia Minute kindly prepared by Meenakshi and KES - What we’re asking here is pray, just pray. Pray… Pray… Pray… Gaia needs your prayers. Just pray with total surrender, in complete faith… and that prayer collectively done – at least 1,000 or 1,500 people, done at the same time, will generate the positive healing energy for all of us. Not asking for anyone special, not even for the betterment of general life. Nothing… Just surrender and praying. Om Namo Narayanam. If you keep your palms upside down, how can you hold the blessings in your palm. So to receive the prayers also, to receive the blessings also, you are to turn your palm the right way up and receive it. Praying is that. Although we know that the blessings are around, but to be aware of the blessings we’re to put our palm the right way up so that it comes into our palm. That is the prayer which has the maximum power. Deep bows |
