I used to live in a haunted house occupied by a mother, her son, and an unhappy presence that stayed in the basement (cliche, I know). Well, the little boy had a habit of making my personal belongings disappear or moving them to different places. So there is a possibility that it could be a presence.

I have encountered feline phantoms also, Mel. I feel comforted by them mostly. I've had some sweet kittens in the past, and when I saw the shadows of them, I thought they just wanted to be there. Lynda

I'm not sure how to start this, because I think it's not really the expected norm. My house, I believe, is haunted. Not by a previous owner or an indian burial ground, but by my cat.
Elijah died last fall, while I was here at school. When I went home for Thanksgiving, I didn't feel the empty void I thought I would. I figured it was just that I hadn't really accepted it yet, but then I went down to my basement room to go to bed...
Now, Eli had always followed me halfway down the stairs and then stood on the little landing and watched me. When I was there in November, he still did. I heard him go down about 3 or 4 steps behind me, then it sort of faded out.

Sure, I thought I had imagined it, until I told my mom about it. She too had heard him around, making his little squeaky meows and what-not. So, at least I'm not crazy.

I've heard that animals can linger and haunt things, but they tend to be very young, and had unfulfilled lives. Eli was 3 years old, which in cat-years is kind of teenaged, I think. I'm not really sure what keeps him there, but it's sort of nice still feeling his presence when I go home.

Funny stuff! I was just talking to a friend yesterday about the correlation of 1 sock being lost in the dryer and 1 shoe on the side of the road. Maybe this why they say if the shoe fits wear it instead of Shoes..my friend said haven't you heard about the 1 legged aliens. :-)

Hullo friends,
There is something I would like to bring to your attention. About two months ago, I lost hearing in my left ear.Doctors say it is a result of the Malaria medication I took;that it was stronger than my body could handle! My ear drum is dull and the hearing nerves are so weak! The doctors say it can only take a process of natural recovery for me to regain hearing in this ear!

SO I would like you to advise me on how I can go about this natural healing process and to combine energy with me so that we can have my ear hearing again!

Did you know beekeepers kill the queen 3 or 4 times a year? I think the poor things are simply confused. They go back to their hive, their queen is a stranger, so they leave to seek the queen they know ...

THAT ... or it's the genetically engineered crops that are driving them away, eradicating the need for pollinators.

I've witnessed some interesting phenomena happening when I first started channeling, back in 1980.

We had an old, but large TV (the kind with lots of tubes) sitting in the living room, which was where we began the process - me lying on the couch and my hubby sitting in his lazy-boy chair. Before I actually ever got into trance, we noticed that sometimes the TV (which was turned off during practice time) would start to light up, as if it were about to come on, and then fade out again. Occasionally a little white spot would appear in the middle of the otherwise darkened screen. At other times, there was the occasional pop and spark at the back of the set, especially as it got closer to the time where I actually began to channel.

Our biggest surprise, though, came one night shortly after I actually began to give voice. Suddenly the screen lit up completely and there was a loud sizzle and then sharp pop off the back of the TV, then everything went black. The individual speaking through me laughed merrily and said "That'll teach them to stand in the middle of that contraption - bet that smarted a bit!" The TV worked for a few days past this episode, but not for long.

We moved our sessions into the den, away from all electrical appliances, except for the tape recorder, after that.

As to the red ball episode, Bryan, have you any younger teenagers in the house or as nearby neighbours? Who may have been sleeping at the time? It has become somewhat theorized that at least some poltargeist-type activity can be attributed to the astral-wanderings of youth as they sleep - most are not aware of their abilities to move objects - they're dreaming. Sometimes if they are disturbed (emotionally), they can actually be quite destructive in unconsciously utilizing the uncontrolled sexual energies of puberty. That's one (barely) plausible explanation, IMHO.

Leah, interesting story, have you had other experiences like that?

I have never seen physical psychism in front of my eyes, but have heard things move around, like the top of a mild bottle pop off several feet into the air. I have heard some loud noises go off in rooms before and stuff like that. I remember when I was living in an old house in the downtown area here years ago, I had my first encounter with faeries, and my mom, who is deceased, as well :) I perceived the faeries as little black and white energy balls that darted around. Onetime they shocked me as I was walking towards my bedroom window and a bright little ball of light darted right in front of me and made me stop right in my tracks! Very playful energy :)

Hello again !

..just adding some on this topic ..that may explain a little more about an personal experience I've had and why I wrote about Bryan's red ball and the playfulness I felt.

Many years ago, while visiting a new friend in her house I encountered my first out of the ordinary activity. We were sitting in her lounge room just chatting and I suddenly felt this presence next to me. It was an old style sofa chair and the left side of my body i felt distinctly cold.. I mentioned this to her and she smiled and said ..'O thats the old guy. he's sitting on the arm next to you..he's up to some new tricks.... interesting , she said, he's harmless. We all live together here, but sometime he does do some thongs that go a little tto far.. he normally doesnt appear around strangers in the house, especially in the daytime...you are priviledged !".

I naturally asked who .. Seems an old couple form another plane, live with her and do all sorts of nightly activity. She would wake early mornings and go to the kitchen and there placed on the kitchen table were cups with dregs in them, biscuit crumbs and a teapot. This she said was a normal occurence. Often sh'ed hear them laughing together. They would move objects around at random, leave cupbord doors open, subtlely letting her know they were living there too ! She felt in a spirit of harmony to allow them to go about their business. Often the heavily beaded room -divide curtain would part as if someone was entering the room and it did again right in front of my eyes. After a while we settled back into other conversation then, as if he wanted my fullattention, his face appeared in the window at me ,smiling. I'll never forget that day.

..my spontaneous thought - that 'someone' was being playful with you. ( or wanting to.. ). getting your attention !.. red ball .. how could you miss that.. performing for you ! and did they get your attention...!! you did mention you were 'spacing' - and receptive.

I was standing at the window looking out at nothing in particular, probably clearing my mind so I could focus on something else, when my dog's red bouncing ball, gets tossed across the room. By the time the movement catches my eye, the ball has landed on the carpeted floor, yet coming to rest now at another corner of the room (with that circular meandering path all balls take after they have taken their last bounce), so I know it was tossed!

I had a feeling to look over at what was playing on the tele(vision), and no joke, an episode of Most Haunted was on.

I barely watch Most Haunted, because I am jaded, perhaps I consider myself advanced in awarness (or so I thought lol).

Well, I am pretty intuitive, but that does not happen in my everyday life! Does anyone get any impressions as to who that was?

Affirmation is always good for me, I must admit!
