Crystal City Dream

Like everyone, I've had some dreams that were so real and yet so unreal that they are unforgettable.  I'd like to share one with you and get your thoughts on it.

My dream begins on the front lawn of a house that I am unfamiliar with.  For some unknown and unimportant reason, I am trying to get in the house. Standing in the grass just to the left of the walkway leading to the front door, I know that the door is locked without moving.  The grass feels fantastic under my bare feet and I would love to just stand there in the shade a while, but I am in a hurry for some reason.  So, I take off to follow the obvious path around the left side of the house to perhaps a side or back door.  As I turn the first corner on the path that lead between two camellia bushes just to the right of the huge oak tree that shaded the front yard, it happened.

I walked though the water wall.  For any of you who have ever watched Star Gate, it was just like how they depict walking through the star gate.  And I would say that I got my vision from the movie only that the dream happened years before the movie.  And unlike the star gate in the movie, you could see ripples only at the instant walked through it.  And in one step, I was standing on the grass streets of the Crystal City.

Not being a writer, I feel that my description of this city will fall very short of its beauty. All of the builds were colored crystal - the walls, floors, ceilings - completely crystal.  Some of the crystal was clear like glass windows.  Other parts were frosted for privacy. There were buildings made of all of the crystal you can name: quartz, ruby, diamond, jade, etc… There were natural crystal shaped sky-scrapers and tradition square single story buildings all arranged quite intentionally in city blocks.

The initial shock quickly faded with the sound of the builds vibrating. Each building had its on note and sounded like water glasses being played.  The harmony vibrated through everything in the city, including me.  It was the sound of indescribable peace.

As the peace flooded over me and my mind cleared, I began to explore.  There were no vehicles.  People floated or teleported form one place to another.  No one spoke, you could feel their thoughts.  Everything worked on thought or feeling - doors, windows, the frosting and un-frosting of crystal, the crystal itself was manipulated by thought.

Just as I was about to walk through the door of a pink sky-scraper to explore some more, the doors opened for someone coming out of the building.  They looked at me and I felt love, while at the same time I felt out of place or discovered.  Then all went black and I was awake.
