Visionary Whites needs visionary thinkers...

…to help put together a launchable NGO. The only donation I need at this point is brain power!  Anyone know anyone willing to pitch in? A little or a lot - it doesn't matter. I passionately believe this project can work if enough of us put our minds and resources together.

Also, I need a visionary fashion designer (or designers) who are willing to volunteer design discussion time. I have some great ideas, but need “professional” input and suggestions.

I've got extensive marketing experience in small & mid-size business as well as charities and grass-root movements.  Brainstorming, creative & copy writing, and I've picked up some minor visual design abilities along the way as well.

I certainly don't “own ” the idea,  my goal and dream is just to see it come into being someday.

I'm not a Clinton fan, but I think this project really will take a “village” Spread the word!

I'm not really sure what I could do for you, but I think the most useful thing I can think of to say at the moment is to be bluntly honest and say that the name “Visionary Whites” sort of makes me cringe.  Because, before I looked at your profile and found out what was meant by this term, I was afraid it might be some kind of racist thing.

Perhaps a name change would be good, because I can imagine some people being reluctant to give the concept publicity simply because of the name.

But perhaps not everyone sees it that way - I don't know.  Anyhow, I would suggest taking a poll or survey and seeing what people in general think of the name.

As for fashion design - I know basically nothing about that.  The only idea I can think of which might be helpful regarding that (and which seems unlikely that anyone else will think of and mention here), is that there are plenty of people who do fashion design in, and for, Second Life.

Maybe you could even have a fashion line within Second Life, based on the real-world fashion line.  A lot of real-world companies (like IBM, Reuters, Nissan, and many others) do things within Second Life - I assume because it's good for their business in some way.

Great point! I din't think of that! Anyone else agree or have an opinion one way or the other? Regardless, 'Visionary Whites' is now “Visionary Lights.” Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I checked out Second Life. I had no idea…how interesting!
