MOTHER NEEDING HELP

Hello, I am a single mother of 4 young children, 9, 7, 5 , 5. I am stuck in a situation and can get no help. I had a drinking problem. I have been sober since April 28th of this year. I am very proud of myself, but before I quit I had gotten into some trouble with the law. I have already done my time and now have to pay fines just to stay out of jail. My aunt had taken care of my children while I was in jail for 2 weeks and someone had called child services and told them I was in jail and that my aunt had to care for my children. Now they told her if for any reason I have to go back to jail that the state will take custody of my children. I have 179.36 due by the 30th of October and 737.00 due by the 15th of December or I will go back to jail if I cannot pay them pay the due dates. I currently have no job and I am unable to find one because I have no vehicle. I have tried to get help from the state but I would have to go to classes to find a job before they could help me. I cannot go to the classes because my twins are in kindergarten and they go in the afternoon and I have to go to the classes in the morning and I don't even have the 30.00 to pay for day care registration fees. I really need help. It is so hard to make it in this world with a car to get around. I have to beg for rides to get to my AA meetings and counseling and I am trying my hardest to make the best life I can for my children. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I don't like asking for help but I am soooo scared of losing my babies. I'd like to suggest checking out http://modestneeds.org/ .

Also, maybe you could sell some things fast on http://ebay.com/ .

Someone once mentioned to me that churches sometimes have funds to pay people's bills, etc., so maybe a church would help. I've also heard that temp agencies are helpful in finding work.

Would the state grant you help soon enough, before the due dates of those fines, if you were able to go to the classes?

Well they told me they would be able to have a case opened for me within 45 days, so it would help on the biggest one due in december. And thank you so much for the links. I will let you all know how things turn out.

You are all such caring people. I have never imagned that complete strangers would be willing to help someone.. I can't even begin to say how touched I am by the kindness of you all. I don't cry much but reading the things from you guys and seeing that people really do care has brought more than a few tears. I cannot thank you all enough. You are all angels from heaven. May God Bless you ALL!!!!!

Thank you, and ditto. I'm so happy that people participated in this and proved this donations concept can really work. I'm so proud of everyone and so happy that disaster was averted. Thank you and bless you all. :-D
