Overview of emotional trauma and the consequences

Mi Ka El said Apr 29, 2006, 2:54 PM:

Emotional Trauma and Recovery
History is a story of trauma through wars, class struggle, colonialization, playing one group against other, wife abuse, child abuse, = shaming Dysfunctional families transmit trauma over generations Emotional Trauma causes: Shame, guilt, self blaming, blaming othersDissociation of mind and spiritFearful mind creates false self, repetative negative thinking, identity with false self of the ego External orientation, blaming world for being unhappy, loss of responsibility for self, striving for power, covering up with eating, sex, money, obsessions, compulsions, addictions,  Loss of spirituality, self-love, acceptance, peace of mind Dissociated self: Fearful thinking, negative expectations AnxietyStress becomes cause of all diseases Mental illness, DepressionCharacter disordersObsessionsDysfunctional Relationships             Disrespect of self:             unhealthy living, overeatingSubstance abuseAddictionsAIDS             Disrespect of others :     anger, aggressionviolencecrimeblame the world for everything   Recovery lies in reconnecting to the original Self/spirit/inner child through spiritual growth                                     Overcoming dissociation = recovering spirit            Change of mind is change of lifeLetting go of fears Prayer as talking to inner self-real Self = sub/super-conscious                                    Intuition and conscience are voice of original self                                    Need to connect to traditional spirituality                                    Emotional clearing, letting go                                    Meditation, mindfulness, peace of mindUnion with the source, universal intelligence, Enlightenment The first step is the only step (Krishnamurti) The first step is to end the denial, - to recognize that I am sick and responsible for feeling bad, nobody else. And that addictions, ego trips, and a focus on the rest of the world doesn’t help.

So all I need to do is to let go of old concepts, take responsibility for how I feel, and do what makes me happy. The rest is learning by stumbling forward on a spiritual path, asking for help from others, and the willingness to do what is needed.

Sorry for this confusion, again.

The above is supposed to be read as one line per sentence or per term/concept.
I wrote the overview in Words and pasted it in, but  the editing was lost.

I soon give up on adminestering pods, so I can keep my peace of mind.
