Wow, how totally cool
thanks for all the referrals.

I have been journeying the adventure quest in conscious awareness for some time now, and through out my travels, i have come to know one thing, for sure, for me......

there is no, one set of tools, rules, processes, steps, programs that is right for all, except one,
to look within self
for it is within self that we find the all WE, individually, uniquely, require....

NOT to diminish garnering wisdom in any way, for this is how we are able to look more clearly unto self,

and let me tell ya, i've dedicated the last coupla decades to nothing more than following the quest.....

i have tried many methods, and found the best method for me, was the one that was most comfortable, with me....
i live my truth
i meditate through out my day
when i'm cleaning, exercising, even holding my son in my arms....

when i was starting out, awakening to the truth of me, the reason why i was, am, the way i am, what BEing ME, turned out to mean, you couldn't get truth out of my hands, i was all over it - researching, reading, discussing, writing, producing, and through out, i was attempting 'other's' ways of "BEing Truth, BEing Love", and forgot, that is ME.....allready.....

It took me quite some time to trust in self, once my journey through the awesome pathways available opened up to my awareness........so many GREAT GREAT thinkers, truly, it can be soooo overwhelming....

so much so, that you doubt your SELF, your BEingness.....
am i really such a Light BEing if i do not meditate in the standard accepted methods??
how can i be - if i am not doing what they say i should be doing....

Alas, I have resurfaced, a journey i shall cherish, always, all ways..........

For the greatest lesson learned was the one that set me free, to be the me, i know me to be, simply, by knowing me.

Blessed Be
Are
All of We
Angels Divine
within the Embracing Light of
Peaceful Loving Serenity,

Radiate Soul Light

Mi Ka El,

You said it much more eloquently than I could have. EFTwas my way of dealing with the issues, but perhaps others have a different way. But the key is to find that in yourself that you see outside of yourself and figure out a way to heal it.

I will continue to do as such and report back.

Be well,

Donald

      Hi Donald,

as you said, the peace came over night.

My mind integrated the change and now I wake up with a vision of how to solve the world's problems. Your suggestion of combining EFT and ho'oponopono put it all together. It is the short cut to peace for all.

I am calm and relaxed now, even though somewhat excited, because I can see clearly now that it wasn't the miserable reality of the world conflicts which kept me in worries and fears, and thereby tempted to go into depression or obsessive compulsive behaviors.
It is my focus on conflicts and fearful projections which keeps the world in conflict and unable to make peace, and which keeps me under stress and worries.

Doctor, heal yourself, they say. Thanks for the reminder.

Feeling the change into peace in myself I can see that everybody can do it, and if everybody is at peace there will be nobody to vote for war. So all we really need to do to reach peace for all, is help them make the change for themselves to get out of their fears and worrisome projections. Find a way that everybody treats him/herself with EFT and lets go of expectations of war and conflicts. So that there is nobody who wants to fight.

Well, let's do it.

Thanks for sharing, brother.

One love, Mikael

This is very good stuff, Donald.

I have been tapping for about two hours now, and didn't come to peace yet, but i want to take some notes on what's happening.

i tapped on my fears that the young nazis in Germany are driving the country back into an ideological confrontation which leads to political and violent struggles so that the achievements of the last fourty years will be wiped out again,

and on my fears that the American hawks will manage to develop the conflict with the moslem world into a world war, as they proclaim already, so that spiritual developments and other insights of our generation will be blastet back to the middle ages again,

and on my obsession that I have to be the whistle blower or the one who saves the world which stems from the fifties, when people in Germany used to say: "Why did nobody speak up and stop Hitler and the murder of the Jews?"

What happened was that the issues were neutralized somewhat, but more of other political worries came up and I became quite agitated, so that i just kept tapping even though i sometimes wasn't so sure what i was tapping on. Anyway, finally i came to some peace and insights i want to share.

Suddenly I saw that all these worries and opinions are really only my projections, and not real at all. As soon as I treated them they became phantasy stories, even though I still knew that many others believe in them too. And i realized again the truth of what I wrote in my blog last week: that the fears of war are beliefs in war which lead to war.
And the consequence? We all need to neutralize our fears and give up believing in wars, worries, and fears if we really want to stop the wars and live in peace. Fear = false evidence appearing real (Anonymous).

"What if they declare war, and nobody goes?"

P.S.:
I'll share more when I get there.

Would appreciate if you could describe in some detail how you phrase the EFT set up though, Donald.

I can't figure out why the pasting changes my file.)

Mindful breathing

Keeps me centered in Self at all times, mindful and aware, relaxes me, keeps my blood free from acidity, an important prerequisite for physical health.

Mindfulness or insight meditation

Awakes me to awareness of spirit or Self, realizing that I am not identical with my thoughts and emotions, awareness that thoughts create emotions, realizing that we are not hurt by other peoples actions but by what we think about them, by our own attitudes.

Activating the witness consciousness, recognizing that I am awareness and will beyond thoughts and feelings.

Acceptance of the now

Letting go of past and future through acceptance of All that is. Only when I accept I can develop ideas on how to improve. Criticizing only locks me into the past.

Open mind

Beginners mind, recognize that we know nothing through thinking, but everything through open minded awareness

Focusing

We choose our experience by what we focus on. Focus deliberately on positives, - on what we want, not what we don't want, -expressing goodness makes us feel good. Focusing on love, compassion, generosity, giving, serving all, right thinking, eightfold noble path. Focusing as a practice teaches us to connect to our "felt sense" and develop what and how we think by how it feels.

Change of mind, change of attitude

Letting go of negatives, realizing that negative thinking hurts us, not them. Letting go of dependencies on experiences that are not chosen by Self, but hinder Self awareness such as substances, personalities, power, thinking, or emotions. Realizing that the fear of not getting enough is the root of all dependence. Knowing that we are always living in our own minds and feelings and can learn to manage them.

Recognizing that we cannot change other peoples thoughts except by indoctrination and manipulation.

Experiencing that a change of mind changes and heals our life.

Recognizing that mind is a quality of the universe, not only humans. Intelligence/consciousness is part of the universe as we are part of it.

Emotional Clearing

Uprooting subconscious fears and misbeliefs.

Healing trauma, shame and guilt. Emotional trauma has been found to be the source of emotional, mental and physical illness as well as of crime and violence. Recovering from trauma is recovery of the true Self. The tools of healing trauma and dependencies are tools for healing Self.

Discreating physical symptoms and psychosomatic causes of illness by reclaiming our power of Self. Enhancing life by replacing negative beliefs with positive attitudes which penetrate into the subconscious through Emotional Freedom Technique, Polarity Therapy, Rebirthing, Avatar Course, Trauma Recovery, Twelve Step Program of AA, spiritual awakening, letting go, and many other techniques.

Recognizing our mental framework as a thought field which is in constant exchange with other thought fields, local as well as regional, national and the world thought field, called the Zeitgeist.

Ecology of mind consists of keeping our thought field clear by clearing negative emotions, focusing on positive, life-enhancing ideas and by choosing and creating loving and supportive relationships with other "thought fields" in the awareness that they will influence our field no matter if we recognize it or not. Maintaining a sustainable peace of mind enables peaceful cooperation on all levels.

For the views on these concepts by Gary Craig, the inventor of EFT, see his article "The solution to all the world's problems" on the

EFT Blog at http://eftcommunity.emofree.com/blogs/eft_blog/default.aspx

Forgiveness

Recognizing that forgiving serves me, not the one I forgive. Forgiving frees my thought field from entanglement with others, past, future and my false self.
Freedom and peace of mind by forgiving the past, self and others, forgiving the ignorance we are leaving behind, realizing that I am o.k. beyond story and conditioning, because I am spirit, not thoughts.

Liberating the soul

Choosing happiness and peace of mind as the top priority of life. Letting go of being right. Let go let God. Recognizing that we know nothing, but our spirit/Self knows everything and guides us by making us feel good and joyous if we contemplate doing the right thing and bad if we contemplate the wrong. Joy and happiness appear as I get out of the way. Practicing the constant presence of "God" = good-ness, spirit, intelligence, love, truth, and integrity expressing in, as and through me. The presence of my true Self as an expression of the life-energy-consciousness-of-goodness-love-and-peace assures me that I am always on the right track as long as I am aware and feel good, honest, integer and joyful.

Gratitude, appreciation

The direct way to happiness are gratitude and humility. Spirit/universal intelligence/goodness/nature is in charge, not the ego.

Service, Creativity,

Helping others onto the path towards peace and happiness reminds me and clarifies for me how to stay on the path. "You cannot keep it if you don't give it away". Each one teach one.

Build a Society of Friends

Develop and support projects for peace and spiritual awareness

Essential Books and Resources:

Mindfulness:

Thich Nhat Hahn, The Miracle of Mindfulness

The Heart of The Buddha's Teaching

Joseph Goldstein: Insight Meditation

Mikael Mindchanger: Awareness in the Now @ learnoutloud.com

Acceptance of Now:

Eckardt Tolle, The Power of Now

The Sedona Method

Open Mind:

Shunryu Suzuki, Zen Mind, Beginners Mind

Focusing:

http://www.focusing.org/

http://www.focusing.org/spirituality.html

http://www.focusing.org/buddhism_rlevin.html

Esther Hicks, Ask And It Is Given

Mikael Mindchanger: A Change of Mind @ learnoutloud.com

Change of mind, attitude:

Will Harmann: The Global Mind Change

Richard Carlson: You Can Be Happy No Matter What

Happiness Is Free

The Sedona Method

Harry Palmer: Living Deliberately

Gerald Jampolsky, Diane Cirincione, Love Is The Answer,

Change Your Mind Change Your Life

Emotional Clearing:

Gary Craig, Emotional Freedom Technique website http://www.emofree.com

Roger Callahan: Thought Field Therapy

John Ruskan: Emotional Clearing

Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Life

Liberating The Soul or true Self:

Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind

Paul Brunton, The Wisdom of the Overself

Vernon Howard: Psycho-Pictography

Swami Prabhavananda, Christopher Isherwood: How To Know God, The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali

Harry Palmer, Living Deliberately

Owen Waters, The Shift, http://www.infinitebeing.com/theshift/

Etc,etc,etc,etc

      Hi All,

After reading about ho'oponopono, it occurred to me that it would be very powerful to combine it with EFT. So in the last two days, I have been doing just that. Simply, I identify an imbalance in myself (such as judgment), in someone I know (such as my client's anxiety), or in the world at large (such as the conflict in Iraq), and I do EFT on myself to clear the energy (ie, clearing my own judgment, anxiety, and conflict).

The result is amazing. I have never felt as present and peaceful as I feel now. This is certainly a technique I'm going to teach to my clients.

Just thought I'd share...

Be well,

Donald

If it works on prisoners who intuitively reject anything that comes their way, it works on anone, I guess.
Here is a Rapport on how Gary Craig, the inventor of EFT introduced it in a prison in Valifornia.

http://www.emofree.com/Cases/rapport.htm?WT.mc_id=N_Dec08_Tip4

I posted this on another pod a few months back,

I am a healer and from the start I was never satisfied with just being a healer. I never asked to be a healer, if I did I was unaware of what I was asking for. I wanted to know why I was never happy and what would make me happy. I knew I did not want to try anything I had already tried. And that's when I was lead to learn about forgiveness.
As a healer I wanted to learn more about healers. I did not understand why they could heal others but not their self and why they had to die. I believe that a healer is someone who starts to heal their self and while they are healing they discover that they have power to heal others. When they believe they are a healer to heal others they forget about healing their self and start doing what they were doing all their life - trying to change everybody but their self. Most healers believe an exchange has to take place so they charge for their service but what they are not seeing is that an exchange is taking place, that others are coming to give them what they need. Your friend, Don
Now I will add to this, what they need is somebody to help them to open their HEART, where healing can start and not only for the one that looks like they need to be healed or the healer but also for..............who ever and what ever but that is no concern of ours. We are to learn what opens our HEART or should I say what it is that closes our HEART !! Some think that their HEART opens and it stays that way, this is not true, I think you are aware of that. I know I feel different when it is open. How we open the HEART is by being who we are. You see all the people into meditation, they only start, they don't keep it going. They put the world aside for a short period then they pick it up again. If we want to remember who we are we must find another that wants the same, I don't mean someone that said's they want the same thing and really they don't. It is better to be the student then the teacher, that don't mean that we can not be a teacher, it means if we go back and forth then we can learn more to teach or share, I like that word better. If I keep on going then you won't buy my book and I'm sitting on 1200 of them, I self published it, that was easy to learn, but self marketing is not so easy , well maybe it is but it is slow :-). Maybe we need to e-mail each other, I have my reason for that. Talk to you later, My Brother

Thanks for reminding me, Don. It is so easy to fool myself and think i need to heal others when I am really the one who needs healing the most. And just this thought lets humility come in and the peace that heals my monkey mind.

But then, the next moment, my thoughts take off again and want me go out and heal the world, even though I have been proving to them for the hundreth time now that it is only me they are talking to. An ego talking to a Self, but the Self is not interested, just observing the game of one fraction of ignorance trying to fool the other.

Peace is when I detach from that little "i".

One love, one heart, one destiny. Who said that?
Wasn't that a cowboy movie?

So what?

Truth is truth.

Yes, healing begins at home and no telling where it ends...I think by sharing personal experiences, of what and how we have changed, and how and what we are doing to help others to change, and how others are helping us to change. I don't think there is as many out there for us to help change as there is as many out there to help us to change. As a healer I am different in the way that i BELIEVE that it is i that is being healed. The one that comes to me to be healed is healing me also, what ever you give to another you give to yourself because we are ONE. Just like right now you are here to help me to release love to the world, as i write my vibrations are at such a higher level you may even feel it as i am writing and there is no telling what this energy is doing to help change the world right now. Your Friend, Don

      Hi, all.

I'm happy to say that I've discovered a powerful new consciousness technique, and I want to share it with everyone!

My prosperity coach, Frank, was gifted with a clear insight about manifestation. We all make our own reality, all the time. We know this, but somewhow we still find ways to undermine ourselves. That's because the unconscious mind, immensely powerful, can override the conscious will.

So he has developed an amazing tool that allows people to connect with the higher self and redirect the unconscious mind to align with the conscious will. It's called Re/Transformation. I feel so strongly about the power of this work, that I have learned to facilitate the process in others!

Now, Frank and I are bringing the Re/Transformation process to workshops. This is all about getting out of our own way. Come check it out! It is exactly what we talk about here- healing through mindchange.

Much Love,
Crow

This is one of my personal experiences I had while in prison, it is about how a situation was transform by acting and reacting from my heart...

One night I was on the phone talking to my son, and while I was talking I watched other men walk up to the entranceway to the restroom and there was another man sitting on the three-foot wall that went through the restroom. He was at the front of the entrance and when someone would walk up, the man sitting on the wall would look at him with a mean look on his face. When they saw his face they were afraid and would turn and walk away and not enter the restroom. The man on the wall was angry and he was a homosexual. He was the nicest man that there could be, but when he wanted to or when he wasn't feeling nice he was the meanest and baddest man in the unit. These men were so afraid that they would change their mind about going to the restroom.

When I got off the phone, I walked over and sat down beside this mad man, or this nice man who thought he was a mad man. He turned and looked at me and what a face! It looked like a pressure cooker that could explode at any time. I knew he was not a pressure cooker, so I said, "What's up, man?" He said, "I'm mad!" I saw through him and I said, "I know you are. What made you mad? Maybe I can help you." He said, "They made me mad and I am going to whip them." I said, "I'll help you. Who are they?" He said, "The guards." I said, "Man, the guards...I know you can whip some guards and I can too, but, man, we will not win in the end, and I don't want to see you get hurt because you are too nice of a person and you don't deserve it. How did they make you mad?" And he went on with the story about how they made him mad. I told him I would not let the guards know they made me mad. I was trying to tell him in a nice way that the only way he could be mad was to feed the thought: "I am mad, they made me mad..." Then I just sat and listened to him, really listened to him. As he talked about it I could see the pressure being released. The next thing I knew the nice man was back and we were sitting there talking and laughing and smiling. We walked into the barracks and the other men did not know what to think about what had just happened.

What an experience this was for me. I was learning to see through people and see the real person. See anger for what it really is and not to accept things the way they appear unless it's what I want. In the New Testament it says "Judge not by appearances..." (John 7:24) Paul wrote "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," (2 Timothy 1:7) Now this man was full of fear, but I refused to see him as fear: instead I saw him as a loving being, and this is what got off the wall and walked away, leaving the fearful being sitting on the wall.

Most people will turn and run the other way when they see a man that is hurting or angry. The only man you will see going up to a mad man is another mad man. People run around talking about God, how God created everything, even the devil. How God has power over the devil and the devil cannot hurt you unless you allow him to, and then every time they think they see the devil, they run the other way. My question is, if a person really believes in God, can he run from the devil?

I think my problem was in believing that there was a devil and that the devil was real! I told myself that I believed in God and God was real, but really I didn't believe it-I was only talking about God. What has awakened me is that today I know God is real and the devil is not. Today I believe in God. God created man, the devil did not create man. It is man that creates the devil.

This man was hurting and needed help; he was in pain, his world was falling in on top of him. He needed somebody to listen to him and talk to him, somebody that knew how to reach out to help another. My part was mostly to be still and allow the reaction to come from inside. If we want to grow spiritually we have to start doing what we learn. Learning does not mean a thing unless you apply what you are learning to your everyday life. Practice what you preach; practice what you have learned. If a man goes to college for 10 years to learn to be a professional, he is not a professional until he opens an office and starts doing what he learned to do. Unless he practices what he has learned he will never become what he learned to be. Many people do this, go through college and get out and decide they don't want to do what they learned and they do something else. Many only do what they learned and never learn anything else-only what somebody else has learned. And some, like Lonnie, go on to learn more on their own and then share it with others that want to learn. Lonnie was the only man I met in prison who was really using love and sharing it, not just telling about it. He was doing to others what he wanted to be done to him. Lonnie was living a life different from the rest, but he never joined them; he kept on going his way. He taught people not to follow others but to follow your heart and you will know you are going in the right direction. This is what I did and am still doing.

Once we recognize that our hearts pound when we're frightened, our faces turn red when we're embarrassed, our palms become sweaty when we're anxious, and most commonly, our heads ache when we're stressed, it's hard to deny that emotions are affecting our bodies. In fact, there is an endless list of ailments attributed to stress alone, that includes indigestion, stiff neck, shoulder pain and teeth-grinding.

But how much damage can an emotional response really cause to an otherwise healthy body? Left untreated, negative emotions can have a devastating impact on our long term health, including ulcers, hypertension, depression, asthma, and cancer. In fact, unresolved emotional issues have become a silent epidemic in our country. Millions of us carry around a lifetime of betrayals, anger, stress, anxiety, grief, rejection, and much more. While many may seek help for emotional problems...most, tragically, do not. "I can get through this" or "I'll get over it in time" is the stoic but dangerous mantra too many vocalize.

Teen suicides have tripled in the last 25 years and are now the third leading cause of death for 15 to 24-year olds. Spousal abuse is on the rise, with the U.S. Department of Justice estimating that there are between 960,000 to 4 million American women who are physically abused by a husband or a live-in each year. Bullying in schools, nervous breakdowns, child abuse, and other emotion-based problems are on the rise. Yet we are only now realizing the physical impact that these emotional challenges are having on our bodies.

Moreover, we now have thousands of soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, who are not only physically injured, but emotionally wounded as well. The VA says it has already treated 6,400 veterans of the Iraq and Afghan wars for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and experts predict that about 15 percent of returning Iraq and Afghan war vets could develop PTSD. Based only on our current deployment then, over 23,000 troops will suffer from this traumatic mental illness alone. And that is only one of many detrimental mental ailments. Viet Nam, Gulf war, and WWII Vets can tell us how horrific it is to see friends and cohorts killed in unspeakable ways. Some will seek therapy, but most won't. And many of those who do will still struggle through life scarred from atrocities they have witnessed. VA hospitals are full of Vets who can't let go of what they saw, heard, smelled and felt in combat. Friends and family will suffer as well, living on the outside of the embedded memories their loved ones are experiencing internally.

As the San Francisco VA hospital recently discovered (as well as thousands of individuals and health care practitioners around the world) there is a ground-breaking alternative treatment for emotional issues such as PTSD, stress, grief, phobias and more. This revolutionary healing aid is called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT and was developed in the early 90s by Gary Craig, a retired Stanford engineering graduate. By using EFT with Viet Nam Vets at the S.F. V.A. hospital, Gary was able to alleviate PTSD in a matter of minutes with many patients who had been there for 30 years or more. Additionally, he was successfully able to eradicate lifelong phobias, help Vets overcome nightmares, addictions, night sweats and much more. While the Vets were thrilled to be released from the demons that had haunted them for decades, some of the doctors were reticent to acknowledge the astounding results achieved with this unusual "new" process. Many seemed to think EFT worked "too quickly" and with "too little effort" to be genuine or long-lasting. Fortunately that is not the case.

"Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools, as it is for me." Eric Robins, MD

Personal experience using EFT demonstrates that, used properly, the results can last indefinitely. Unlike talk therapy, there is a physical element to EFT, and complete relief from an issue can be realized in a matter of minutes rather than years. This immediate relief alone causes skepticism and controversy, yet EFT is based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, creating that relief by realigning energy meridians in the body. However, EFT does not use needles, or any other equipment, it's pain-free and the emotional elements are incorporated though verbal interaction with the client. Additionally, EFT uses basically the same "recipe" for success, regardless of the issue, thus making it simple enough for virtually anyone to learn and apply.

Without a doubt, traditional talk therapy, as well as acupuncture, hypnotism, yoga, meditation and other types of therapies have played critical roles in dealing with many emotional and physical issues throughout the years. I can't imagine where we would be today without them. These methods have their drawbacks or limitations, however. Talk therapy, for instance can take months or years to resolve an issue, and is often an emotionally painful journey. Many people who are afraid of needles fervently avoid acupuncture as a result. Hypnotism, yoga and meditation require abilities and dedication not everyone possesses. Furthermore, many of these therapies require multiple sessions which can be costly, yet can have limited or temporary benefits.

Some of the aspects that make this a remarkable healing tool are that EFT:

¨ Often works when nothing else has

¨ Usually provides rapid, long lasting, and gentle relief

¨ Requires no drugs, needles, or equipment

¨ Can be easily learned by virtually anyone and self administered

¨ Is effective on a multitude of issues using the same basic technique

On a personal note, I can honestly say that EFT saved my life. In early 2000 I became severely depressed. My life was great; I had a wonderful husband, a prosperous career, and a positive attitude normally ruled my world. But the depression gripped me like vice squeezing the life and energy out of me. I was so miserable that I finally decided to commit suicide! However, I wanted find a way to take my life so that my dear husband, friends, and family would think it was an accident. At the zenith of my depression, and as the last effort before ending it all, I decided to seek professional help. I accidentally stumbled across a therapist who EFT'd me for the first time.

I arrived at her office shrouded in gloom and sobbing, certain that I would end my life as soon as this sure-to-fail session was over. Instead, I was astonished that in a matter of minutes from beginning the EFT process my depression was lifting and I was feeling much better. A few more "rounds" of EFT, lasting about 10 minutes total, and I was back to my old positive, energetic self. Needless to say, I was amazed...but still a bit skeptical. How could this have happened? And so quickly? And would it last? Well, it did last and I'm living testament to EFT's extraordinary potential. I use it now myself everyday for stress, headaches, fatigue, back pain, and so much more. I can't imagine my life without EFT and in fact, would most likely not even be around had it not come into my life.

It is because of my friend, Zoe Walton, an acupuncturist, that I learned how to use EFT. It was also with her help and encouragement that I worked hard to become an accomplished EFT practitioner and ultimately introduced it into my coaching practice. Here is what Zoe says about this intriguing process:

"In 1999 I incorporated EFT into my practice. Many people I see have physical symptoms arising from past or continuing stress. The chronic stress syndrome is often caused by emotions such as fear, anger and frustration, but can be caused by nutritional or physical stressors or trauma. This can lead to physical symptoms such as low thyroid, edema, fatigue, sleep disturbance, allergies and more.

"EFT is now the major tool I have found to address this stress. EFT is based on rebalancing the meridian system that has been disturbed by chronic stressful emotions. The results I have seen using this tool has been amazing. Clients can learn to use EFT on their own or have a facilitator guide them. Over and over I have seen my clients release long held stressful emotions, beliefs, and patterns that no longer serve them. As a result they are happier and healthier people. I now incorporate EFT treatments with about 95% of my patients and can't imagine where my practice would be without it."

EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases for:

¨ Trauma & Abuse

¨ Stress & Anxiety

¨ Fears & Phobias

¨ Depression and Addictive Cravings

¨ Anger and Frustration

¨ Weight issues and more

Additionally, hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches and migraines, body pains, asthma, and other respiratory ailments, allergies and food sensitivities can be successfully treated with EFT. When properly applied, over 80% of the recipients achieve significant improvement or complete cessation of the problem with just one session, of the meridian-based EFT.

Meridian Therapies

There are actually several Meridian or Energy-based Therapies available today. However, EFT has the largest following, is the easiest to learn, and is the most user-friendly of these techniques. Since acupuncture is a Meridian based procedure it stands to reason that one of the largest benefactors from EFT would be acupuncturists. Indeed thousands of practitioners are already big fans of EFT. It is not meant to replace acupuncture; however, adding it to one's repertoire can vastly expand and enhance his or her practice. EFT can add a new dimension to a practitioner's options for their clients and provide a viable alternative for needle-phobic, aging, disabled or very young patients.

While less than two decades old, it is estimated that over 1,000,000 people worldwide have received the benefits of EFT. Thousands of acupuncturists, therapists, medical doctors, and other health care professionals are already strong believers in EFT's healing and therapeutic potential. Still, billions more have never heard of EFT, and many who have are sceptical of this relatively unknown science. Ironically, EFT's ease of use and the speed in which one experiences results are the main reasons it has not been more readily recognized by the medical community. Dr. Christopher J. Hegarty, an alternative medicine researcher, journalist, renowned speaker, and best selling author says about EFT:

"Valuable breakthroughs often take a long time before being accepted. For example, the doctor who discovered and proved the need for sanitary conditions when clients were being treated saw his proven work ignored for decades. EFT, by contrast, has already received international acceptance".

Dr. Hegarty describes the first acupuncture symposium held in America at Stanford University, in 1972, where acupuncture was discussed. There, Dr. Paul Dudley White, (Dwight Eisenhower's personal physician while he was President of the United States) stated in an interview with Dr. Hegarty

"Christopher, I traveled to mainland China as a tourist after retiring from medicine. I went to a demonstration of acupuncture at a leading Chinese hospital and witnessed a number of major operations being done without anesthesia that changed the rest of my life. I am now devoted to seeing acupuncture used in the U.S. It may take time to see the benefits utilized in the U.S., but it will happen."

Dr. Hegarty goes on to say:

"With that symposium as the starting point, acupuncture is now being widely used in America. EFT is a logical extension of that movement and, because of its value and simplicity (and skillful use of the internet) is known around the world. EFT has come full circle and is now being used in China, the birthplace of acupuncture. I have not known of a healing breakthrough to reach so far, so soon. My observation is that EFT will likely be a global force in the field of integrated health and healing."

Applying EFT

Unlike using needles as with acupuncture, you simply have the client tap or touch lightly on specific meridian points. These points are mostly on the upper body and face and stimulating them sends tiny "shock waves" or soothing pulses throughout the energy system. By performing this systematic stimulating of the meridian points, (about 10 in all), while verbally addressing a specific problem, the emotional or physical issue progressively disappears. This simple process balances and re-energizes the system, often in a matter of minutes, clearing blockages and dissipating the negative emotions as you go. Often an issue is resolved after only one or two "rounds", which usually take only a few minutes (a round consists of the tapping sequence, while using appropriate verbiage). More complex issues, like rape, PTSD, or serious illnesses, however, may encompass several aspects and could take an hour or more to get ideal results. Persistence, however, will usually completely eradicate the issue, and in far less time than other therapies.

How does it Work?

In order to understand how this surprisingly effective process works, it's important to look at the "Discovery Statement", which is the foundation for EFT...

"The cause of ALL negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

Gary Craig, founder of EFT

In other words, every negative emotion we experience, including depression, anger, frustration, stress, grief, guilt, anxiety, fear, etc. is a result of a blockage somewhere in the body's energy system. This life-force energy is carried by the body's meridian system through tiny pathways, much as arteries and vessels carry the body's blood. This principle, of course is second nature to acupuncturists. When that energy is blocked or disrupted by a traumatic or unpleasant event such as being dumped by our sweetheart, feeling pressured by a deadline, or being ridiculed by our boss, the resulting effect would be a negative emotion - like sadness, embarrassment, stress, humiliation or anger.

There is another step in the equation, however. If someone insults you, for example, the end result would most likely be anger. What actually happens first, however, is that the insult causes a disruption somewhere in your body's energy pathways. It's that disruption that causes the negative emotion of anger....not the insult itself.

The Real Culprit

In other words, there's an interim step we never recognized before that's the real villain in the equation. It's the disruption of our energy that causes the negative emotion. So rather than just the cause and affect of insult = anger, it's actually insult + energy disruption = anger. When we're injured we experience pain. And when our energy system is "injured" or blocked we experience a negative emotion. This was only discovered until about 25 years ago (although knowledge of the meridian system is 4000 years old). Assuming this formula is true (and experience suggests that it is), then the logical conclusion is: if we can dissipate the energy disruption, the resulting negative emotion will be eliminated as well. And that is exactly what happens when applying EFT.

What Health Care Professionals from around the World Say about EFT:

"Having been trained in numerous healing techniques, I found myself become disillusioned with them when neither I nor my patients would consistently use them! ... I felt there had to be a better way...and "stumbled" on Gary Craig's website...and voila, there it was...an easy to learn, easy to use healing technique! Now I use EFT with almost every patient, and those who use it, experience remarkable changes in their life, both physically and emotionally! What a gift to share with others! Patti C, Acupuncturist, EFT Practitioner & CHT

"In addition to several emotional issues, I have used EFT for impressive relief for many physical problems including Hiatal Hernia, Candidiasis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. The process is gentle and often provides benefits where other methods fail." Raul Vergini, MD Italy

"EFT has been, for me, the single most effective technique I've used in my 45 years of practice as a psychiatrist. I've had success with panic, social anxiety and many other disorders." Curtis Steele, MD, Canada

"I have found EFT to be so useful that it has become the centerpiece of my practice. I have used it successfully on a long list of emotional issues. ...Interestingly, when the emotional issues subside, physical ailments often enjoy simultaneous relief." Sonia Novinsky, Ph.D., Brazil

Extraordinary, but not perfect

With all this praise I should mention that EFT is not perfect. There are rare times when it doesn't appear to work. For instance, because EFT works with the electrical system of the body and water is an important conduit for that energy, dehydration will impede a successful treatment. Other factors such as psychological reversal, substance sensitivities, or applying the protocol incorrectly can inhibit positive results. The good news, though, is that the impediments to EFT's success are correctable. Furthermore you can try EFT on anything including; lactose intolerance, jealousy, the hiccups, insomnia, and much more. Even if executed incorrectly, EFT can still produce amazingly positive results.

EFT remains, in my opinion, the most amazing and effective transformational and healing technique available today. Yet until a person experiences EFT for themselves, it's hard to fully comprehend the profound positive impact this healing technique can have on our emotional health and well being. Only time will tell what discoveries and progress we will make with this remarkable tool in the years to come. And in Gary Craig's words...

"We're on the ground floor of a "Healing High-rise".
What a message!!! Thanks for sharing, Crow.
Even though it seems far out and too unreal to be true, it somehow connects a lot of links for me.

The mind change i have been experiencing and which led me to start this pod is based on recovery from trauma, and the number one method I am aware of for trauma recovery is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) which is based on the affirmation:

"Even though I have this problem/trauma/disease, I deeply and completely accept myself."
Which means that in order to heal I have to love my self unconditionally.

The second link is spirtual mind treatment as taught in Science of Mind classes, which I have been attending for over two years. In Science of Mind treatments (based on Ernest Holmes book; "The Science of Mind") you affirm and reestablish your own health as a spiritual being and thereby heal the person for who you make the treatment. Distance or presence of the person is of no concern.

The third link that comes up for me is what I just learned or rather experienced in the last few weeks in the Avatar courses. The Avatar exercises and techniques help you experience yourself as source consciousness, as the creator of all your experiences, and since it seems that on a higher level, the level of love that is, we are all one, there is no real obstacle to accept the view that ho'oponopono should work.

      HO'OPONOPONO
by Joe Vitale

Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients--without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.

When I first heard this story, I thought it was an urban legend. How could anyone heal anyone else by healing himself? How could even the best self-improvement master cure the criminally insane? It didn't make any sense. It wasn't logical, so I dismissed the story.

However, I heard it again a year later. I heard that the therapist had used a Hawaiian healing process called ho 'oponopono. I had never heard of it, yet I couldn't let it leave my mind. If the story was at all true, I had to know more. I had always understood " total responsibility" to mean that I am responsible for what I think and do. Beyond that, it's out of my hands. I think that most people think of total responsibility that way. We're
responsible for what we do, not what anyone else does--but that's wrong.

The Hawaiian therapist who healed those mentally ill people would teach me an advanced new perspective about total responsibility. His name is Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. We probably spent an hour talking on our first phone call. I asked him to tell me the complete story of his work as a therapist.

He explained that he worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years. That ward where they kept the criminally insane was dangerous. Psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The staff called in sick a lot or simply quit. People would walk through that ward with their backs against the wall, afraid of being attacked by patients. It was not a pleasant place to live, work, or visit. "Dr. Len told me that he never saw patients. He agreed to have an office and to review their files. While he looked at those files, he would work on himself. As he worked on himself, patients began to heal.

'After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely,' he told me. 'Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. And those who had no chance of ever being rel e ased were being freed.' I was in awe.'Not only that,' he went on, 'but the staff began to enjoy coming to work. Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. We ended up with more staff than we needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed.'

This is where I had to ask the million dollar question: 'What were you doing within yourself that caused those people to change?'

'I was simply healing the part of me that created them,' he said. I didn't understand. Dr. Len explained that total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life- simply because it is in your life--is your responsibility. In a literal sense the entire world is your creation.

Whew. This is tough to swallow. Being responsible for what I say or do is one thing. Being responsible for what everyone in my life says or does is quite another. Yet, the truth is this: if you take complete responsibility for your l i fe , then everything you see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is your responsibility because it is in your life. This means that terrorist activity, the president, the economy or anything you experience and don't like--is up for you to heal. They don't exist, in a manner of speaking, except as projections from inside you. The problem isn't with them, it's with you, and to change them, you have to change you.

I know this is tough to grasp, let alone accept or actually live. Blame is far easier than total responsibility, but as I spoke with Dr. Len, I began to realize that healing for him and in ho 'oponopono' means loving yourself.

If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, even a mentally ill criminal you do it by healing you.

I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. What was he doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients' files?

'I just kept saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I l ove you' over and over again,' he explained.

"That's it?"

"That's it."

Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.

Let me give you a quick example of how this works: one day, someone sent me an email that upset me. In the past I would have handled it by working on my emotional hot buttons or by trying to reason with the person who sent the nasty message.

This time, I decided to try Dr. Len's method. I kept silently saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you,' I didn't say it to anyone in particular. I was simply evoking the spirit of love to heal within me what was creating the outer circumstance.

Within an hour I got an e-mail from the same person. He apologized for his previous message. Keep in mind that I didn't take any outward action to get that apology. I didn't even write him back. Yet, by saying 'I love you,' I somehow healed within me wh at was
creating him.

I later attended a ho 'oponopono workshop run by Dr. Len. He's now 70 years old, considered a grandfatherly shaman, and is somewhat reclusive.

He praised my book, The Attractor Factor. He told me that as I improve myself, my book's vibration will raise, and everyone will feel it when they read it. In short, as I improve, my readers will improve. 'What about the books that are already sold and out there?' I asked.

'They aren't out there,' he explained, once again blowing my mind with his mystic wisdom. 'They are still in you.' In short, there is no out there. It would take a whole book to explain this advanced technique with the depth it deserves.

Suffice It to say that whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there's only one place to look: inside you. When you look, do it with love."

For anyone who is interested in the Hooponopono technique please visit this website for more information .

http://hooponopono.org/

      A Change of Mind

When I was really depressed in my early twenties and was thinking about suicide I finally heard a voice from deep inside that said: "If you want to kill yourself it doesn't mean that something is wrong with life, it means that something is wrong with your thinking." That saved my life. I bought a sleeping bag, hitch hiked to Iran and Afghanistan and dropped out of medical school when i returned.

But even today, thirty years later, I am still trying to figure out all the implications of the message.
