Researchers are catching up with what we thought long time ago: that most of modern illness, crime, violence, addictions and other destructive and self-destructive behaviors are caused by our anger and fears based on mistreatment through parents and society.
“Adverse Childhood Experiences” (ACE) the researchers call our traumatic experiences we suffered through child abuse and neglect, and other disrespectful behavior.
Here is a summary of what they could piece together. Check especially the table on page 6 of this report for an overview and links to further resources.
So how do we recover? By letting go of the story, releasing the emotions and their physical manifestations with EFT, forgiving ourselves and everyone involved in the drama, and by raising our consciouness to the point that we realize that it was only our negative attitude which tied us to the past and its suffering.
Not simple, but a way out of dis-ease.
