How can we most effectively communicate?

Andrew [no longer around] said Oct 12, 2008, 4:49 PM:

What is it that sets an effective communicator apart from the rest of the field?

There have been some very gifted speakers over the years that have had “something” that gives them an edge, that makes others want to listen to what they've had to say.

There have been the notorious ones like Hitler, who convinced a nation to go to war, Jim Jones who authored the notorious Jonestown suicide.

What was it that gave these men the ability to convince and lead multitudes of people to destruction, when many of us can't convincingly share with a friend or loved one, inner light that has unshackled us from the chains of human bondage?

What has worked for you?

You know, Andrew. I have Hitler’s handwriting here anlayzed totally. And his instinctual field was off the chart. He was a complete animal! Not necessarily psychotic in the same sense as some might think. But high levels of instinct. Could kill in an instant like an animal with no consicousness. Not that intelligent really. Instinctual. Jim Jones I suspect was very similar.

Maybe when I think of true wonderful communicator, I think of heart! Someone totally connected to what they are saying. No holds bar – being total in what you say and what you mean, I think makes a good communicator.

as far as moving many people, I sometimes have though that’s just karmic somehow, many elements coming together, drive, karma, instincts, talents, intelligence.

I have studied great enlightened masters that stay to themselves and never made public waves. Not mass movers, per se. And of course, you made example of dangerous people moving many.

I personally like heart! Heart! I have many friends without even a high school education, and listening to them is delightful! Heart felt!

I would suspect all of us try to convey what is on our heart to convey Shirley, but not everyone is as attentive a listener as yourself.

It's the ones that are spiritually hard of hearing that I think many of us have nearly broken our hearts over, not being able to break through the mist that surrounds their thinking.

I'm not talking about control or manipulation but the ability to open someones mind to give them the opportunity to make a quality judgement based on all the information not just that that trickles through their prejudices and preconceived ideas.

Oui, Oui!  Those hard-headed bastards!  Water over rock!  water over rock!  It's being confident in our own love, in our own spirit that makes water over rock a part of life!  I have learned an oriental smile and a silent response can say more to a hard head than a million words!  I have learned a little…mmmmmm…is better than a text book over the head!  Though I would like to throw one sometimes!  Coming home to my own spirit has made what you describe a little more tolerable….

I think you describe it so perfect…..

Well….O, it sounds so rude, but can I say..I've learned to say “next!”  I have learned some cannot hear….so I turn my face and say “next!”  Sooner or later someone will hear me!  yes?  maybe?  never?  always?  sometimes?….uh!  What it is to be and to be heard!

You just keep communicating, communicating..those that belong to you will hear you, yes?  Those that don't, throw cow dung at them!  I've heard a friend tell me, he had a master that would throw cow dung at you!  I love this idea!  Get out of here!  And throw a big clump of cow poop at them! I keep some in my purse at all times…just in case one those hard-headed bastards don't get me, I will throw some smelly poop at them….(!)..even the Masters  of our time are frustrated!  Gives me courage to know that!
