If you were the Creator, how would you reveal yourself?

Whenever I think I might be getting some sort of handle on infinity, some piece of information comes along that blows it out of the water.

If the entire Solar System was laid out on the centre court at Wimbleton in England, with the Sun at one end and Pluto at the other, the next nearest star would be in Johannesburg, S. Africa.

At the speed of light, at which you could circle the Earth nearly 7 times in a second, it would take nearly 4 years.

At the speed of light it would take 100,000 years to cross the Milky Way.

To cross the 'known' Universe would take 13.7 billion years at the speed of light.

And I thought I had a problem with being misunderstood.

If you were the creator of the Universe how would you reveal yourself to your creation?  Bear in mind there is nothing outside of yourself.  Everything that 'is' is the substance of your being.

How do you reveal Yourself to yourself….

The more I ponder this, the more intriguing it becomes.

Well.. It really depends on who I was revealing myself to.. If I was showing myself to a single person, which seems rather selfish and arrogant, then I would be something significant to them… However. …. If I was showing myself to some one.. oh let's say me… I would come as a great goddess or the horned god or something… something indentifiable with only me..

Then again.. If I was the creator of all things and I was appearing on behalf of the our world… as in Earth. I would show myself in the resemblance of an angel… who does not somewhere in their soul believe in these heavenly creatures. It would not be so threatening as to appear in the image of “God” or “Jesus” and it would not be so otherworldly as not to attract the attention of the pious (but because I am so stuck in my slightly feminist ways.. I would be an angel with female qualities)

Of course then you would have to take into account why after all this time of laying dormant why am I if I was the great creator showing myself to Earth.. What have I come to say? Am I just letting it be known that I am here and that their years of worship and love and faith of religion were not in vain.

So many things to take into account for this very special question and it leads me on to ponder if these things the very creator has not already  thought of before the creator comes to earth… then perhaps he/she/it has already shown himself in many different ways.. In the ways of buddah that group of like minded people can understand, in the way of Jesus, so that group of like minded people can comprehend. In the way of Shiva so that group may to know the great creator. In the way of the goddess … so I myself can understand.

Ashley what you have shared is beautiful and I'm really pleased you had a go, but I'd like you to think this through.

If you created everything from the substance of your being, then you cannot be separate from that substance can you?  You are the substance.  Each of the 'representations' you share are just that, they could not be you because then there would be you 'and' something else.  You as the creator of the Universe  created from yourself, because there is nothing else.

If there was you and something else that would make you also a created being, created by the original cause, which is the creator I'm talking about revealing.

This is the conundrum.  And the more I give this consideration the more I realise why we haven't “seen” God.  He cannot be apart from Him/Her/Itself.  It is everywhere around and through us.  We are made of the essence of the substance of God. 

We cannot be anything else.  There is nothing else. 

Would you like to have another go?  Anyone want to see if they can make sense of this question?

I truely believe what you have said in your response.. the creator is all around us.. inside us.. every where.. We don't see the creator becuase we are looking for something that is already here..
 in each of us.. in our lovely earth….

In that sense.. I do not know how I would reveal myself.. and the reason we haven't seen 'god' is because if god were to reveal god's self.. I don't think we would be able to comprehend just yet. You know? .. So I as creator would be forced to create myself and something else.. in order for that comprehension to take place.. At least thats what my brain makes of this question you asked..

But I understand what you mean of course.. Maybe I precieve it this way because this is the way it would have to be with me… I would need an identifiable image in order to comprehend the majesty and omnipotent beauty of our Creator?

Ashley, I hope you don't feel I was picking on you.  I'd crawl over broken glass rather than hurt you.

I asked this question in the light of clearer understanding of that which is.  I have often thought “if I was God I'd do this, or that,”

This question popped in my head in a moment of meditation and has revolutionised my understanding.

That is why I wanted to share it, but also to keep the discussion focused on what must be the only restriction on the Creator, it only has itself to work with,.. There cannot be God and anything!!!

I have found this truly liberating.  That is why I wanted to share it, in the appropriate forum.

These questions are in respect to many a sooth-sayer;  genius's of Einstien incorporated and many more, that have been seeking and in search of this fundamental quest.
It's one of the “HOTTEST discussions of ALL TIME…….and gets my juices pumping like there is no tomorrow.

Okay, I have 10 minutes before I have a day full of errands to do… So if I were the creator (which is within me, anyway) I would be revealing myself to me every second the clock is ticking… or not…:)

I would reveal/be revealed, reflected back to me, in all & more of these ordinary & fantastic ways:

The shape of the clouds

A song that spontaneously arises within me

The stories I choose to read at the library

The behavior of others as I observe & interact with them

Everything I see/read on this site - for example, if some gaian
members are in a dither over a post or someone's behavior

I'd acknowledge my ability to see a very large picture - something like swallowing the world whole before speaking; a reveal myself to me from that greater understanding, beyond the ego. And…

I'd feel in my blood & bones my response/reaction to that situation  a wholeness of calm, clarity,& UNFRUSTRATED thoughts.

I'd also reveal myself to me in my dreams at night; I would be the characters & symbols that I act out &/or witness in my ordinary mind when awake…

The world is my mirror… the creator/world is all I see.  The world in its totality is the creator revealing it self to me. Ops, one addition….

I enjoy a calm, pleasant, aware life… I reveal myself, as the creator, to me in peaceful, mindful states of being…

              If I was the Creator, knowing myself as all-consciousness,and I wanted to reveal myself to myself, I would set up the world so that the Fibonnaci numbers moves towards the ideal, which is the Golden ratio. It would never reach it, because it would always strive towards this harmony and perfection, until it knows itself as perfection. I would put the intuition of Spirit into the heart of all creation, so that it always strives towards this Oneness and Unification. I would want to know myself as the greatest attraction there is, so I would be Love, and there would be no opposite to this, only different degrees of realization, until some mystic somewhere was able to tap into this Oneness and proclaim it. If I was the Creator, I would use others to show My Self to myself, because I would delight in seeing every perspective there is. I wouldn't reveal myself in time, but in the Timeless, the eternal moment of Now, that is forever revealing and wonderful. I would let each individual have the free will to choose whether or not they are able to know themselves as Spirit, and partake of this joy, knowing that there is nowhere else to be. I would know myself as Happiness through the Appreciation of myself, always and forever…       Um, Did I just give something away I wasn't supposed to reveal yet.

There is no mystery or puzzle or secret answer to this question that I am aware of.

The aspect of this that I find intriguing is that the more I meditated on this question the more strongly came the awareness that there can be nothing else but One Original Cause, which I'll call God for convenience, from which EVERYTHING emanates. 

There cannot be God and anything.

There cannot be God and you, God and me, God and a devil, God and an opposing force, power or influence.  These things can only be figments of the imagination, or the ego fighting to be relevent, creating images in the mind.

i don't now about anyone else but this is giving me an enormous sense of freedom.

As creator, I am god. Whatever that name means to some one else, it means this me. Everything is god… all the beauty & the ugly, all the seen, & unseen… and all that the mind thinks…. including calling 'something' god, including this dream-along-conversation - it is all god. Including the imagining that god is 'the other.'

As the Creator I create a world that reflects back to me what I think is there/here to see, feel, think about, smell, visualize about…. on & on…. I Create! I have created the good, bad, the beautiful & sublime all to experience this thing called life…. Even the challenges from which I can also create understanding….

Do I create someone else's pain? I sure hope not! My mind thinks that the terrible things that happen manifest so that the mind & body can experience all that the mind imagines - to learn & understand… where do those ugly, bad or good things manifest from…. a single endless source.  As  creator I make of them - in my mind - what I will.

So god must simply be Everything……………………….

To want to reveal yourself of the uglies unfolding before your very eyes, takes courage while heading towards that abyss of yours.
And once you've unravelled the worst of yourself………”whew”, and the worst is now behind you, your rewarded with nothing but a dog bone.
It will be then - that yourself will shine back to you in essence of a more human existence.
