Hello Everyone:

This sounds incredibly stupid, but I have no idea what a pod is.  I was invited to join several months ago, and have been unable to find my way back to this area until today.  I am ignorant of chatting or corresponding with people over the computer, as you can plainly see.  My name is Candy, I am 57 years old.  I have read Robert Monroe's books several times and have his Gateway Voyage on cd, also sleeping through the rain, and the visit.  I keep falling asleep while listening to any of the recordings.  I am in despair of ever progressing through the cd's.  I do plan on going to the Institute if they will have me during 2008.  I am hoping I can find my way back here to participate in any conversations you have going and what everyone's experience has been.

Thank you,

Candy

Candy,

I have been to the institute…I have gone through the gateway and guidelines programs. They would probably tell you that if you were checking out every session (it is called “Checking out” because it feels like you fall asleep) you should probably try the meditations sitting up.

When I attended Gateway there was a gentleman who came all the way from London and checked out every session. He was quite frustrated. They had suggested that he was still exploring in 10 or 12 or 15, but that he lacked recall.

Good luck

David - thank you for replying to my post.  I will try your suggestion.  How wonderful for you that you were able to attend those programs.  I feel envious, but glad for you.

Sincerely,

Candy
