Deutschland Online in 11 Language Editions

Albert said Jun 22, 11:51 PM:

Deutschland Online

With 11 language editions in 180 countries, Deutschland magazine is Germany's most international periodical. Deutschland is the magazine for decision-makers outside Germany. Deutschland provides background analyses, informs its readers about topical issues in Germany and Europe, and reports on bilateral relations between Germany and other regions of the world in its regional editions. Almost 1.5 million people read the magazine worldwide. Deutschland is published six times a year by Societäts-Verlag, Frankfurt am Main, in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin.

What a wonderful resource, Albert.

Lots of interesting articles, like:

Islam on the way to legal equality with Christianity in GermanyCalls are growing in Germany for Islam to be granted the same legal status, rights and duties as other recognised religions, with the idea forming the main focus for this week's Islam Conference.

Yes, islam is part of increasing migration here. Clearly to be seen in Berlin f.e. Where the greatest Turkish Sub Community outside Turkey exists.

Migration patterns are following memetic dynamics.

Another example from Deutschland Online could be the role of creative economy, innovation in Germany and Europe. In 2009 we have the  European Year of Creativity and Innovation. One third of germany economy is still in classic production like cars and steel. Unlike Uk where medial and poltical furor of creative economy is much stronger.

However the memetic landscapes are essential. With centres of gravity and trajectories of nations re-construction. These complex devlopmental lenses are necessary. To liberate the ability to look through mere surface phenomena.

And to identiy vertical driving forces in an integral way.

So I am happy you like these resources given by the portal, Nicole. Germany as training ground in the midst of Europe for Integration.

I don't know much about creative economy, Albert. Sounds promising!

Wheather Report about Shapeshifters

Included there is this clip:

Wheather Report: Social media goes Niche

With an article from Maria Berek about Creative Industries.

The term plays an increasingly growing role within worldwide social innovation and creativity.

TED Goes Europe 2009

“When we look around us there are things we can observe: Buildings. People. Nature. And then there are things that run unseen through our lives. These hidden forces – social conventions, biological links, cultural frameworks, coded meanings – are the connective tissue that binds societies together, the engines that propel organizations and individuals forward. When illuminated, they offer vital insights into our relationships with one another and our world.”

Oxford, as convening point is no coincidence for me. UK is an important play for creative industries and economy. TED is breathing the spirit of it.
