These experiences lead the groups into seeking solutions at a peace

summit upon The Mountain of Peace. Through dance, song, and drama, they convey

their pain, their joys, and the difficult process of healing that leads to inner peace,

a prerequisite to outer peace.

The music of Frances Key and Cyrille Verdeaux powerfully enhances this dramatic and

inspiring story, as local singers and actors lend their talents to convey this vitally

important message to our community.

Songs and script written by Frances Key
Frances is a local songwriter, scriptwriter and teacher, founder of the Raymond and

Crystal Key Humanitarian Initiative and The International Peace Performers.

Directed by Jeremie Cook (Jeremie is an award-winning director and actor from Jacksonville)

Dance Choreography by Wendy Sugalski
(Wendy is a dance instructor at Let's Dance Studio and a graduate of Douglas Anderson

School of the Arts)

For more info, see:

http://www.unf.edu/thefloridacenter/CTSymposium/peace_week.htm

VIDEO CLIPS of Select Songs in the Production:

They are Different
Oh Africa!
Flag of the Living Stars

For anyone living close to Northern Florida, this is a magnificent musical production; and admission IS FREE!! Please consider rewarding yourself and viewing this important theatre event in the beautiful main concert hall on the UNF campus in Jacksonville, FL.

Below are the lyrics to a song ("As Above, So Below) from this musical that presents the central theme and thesis of the production: the inter-connectedness of all life (a very Buddhist concept, I might mention):

  As Above, So Below

It's said to be a mystery,

But evidence abounds,

In ethereal and material,

All principles are found.

Why wonder what's beyond-

Life's mirrors tell the tale...

Upon the earth are manifest,

The very things we work with here!

This connection gives direction,

To all who seek to know,

It's expansion that brings attraction,

Whether near, whether far,

Energy does flow.

As above, so below,

As above, so below,

(Child questions) From them to us, from us to them?

(Answer) There's no "us" and "them- we're One!

Some are the hands, some are the feet, some are the eyes and ears,

So does the work get done.

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

Inspiration brings new action,

Like atoms following the rule of eight,

Everybody's looking to unite with those, who stimulate their mind and souls,

To bond with those who generate the same (vibration)

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

We link, and link, and link, and link,

The spectrum do we cover,

Degreed awareness is what we are,

Building upon each other.

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

Wait a moment, let me see...

It's starting to be clear;

We're all reflections of each other,

So there is no there nor here, no here nor there?

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

Exactly- see, it's not that strange!

Our thoughts like rivers flow,

We send out intentions through all dimensions,

And focus makes them grow.

Focus makes them grow!

As above, so below,

(Reflect, protect, direct, collect, connect!)

As above, so below,

(Contemplate, illuminate, elevate, initiate, radiate,

Incubate, reciprocate, In this way we all create!)

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

As above, so below,

As above, so below.

It's really simple, don't you see?

Love's the highest energy,

On Compassion wings it flies,

'Cross the veil of Space and Time.

      http://www.carmelhelene.com/bio.htm

THE SULTRY SOULFUL SOUNDS OF POP-ROCK VOCALIST
***CARMEL HELENE***
** (for a sampling, check out http://www.carmelhelene.com/bio.htm)

Drawing from past experiences, Carmel Helene has developed into an extraordinary and talented performer. Her soulful, yet sultry voice blended with her guitar driven pop rock style, separates her from a crowd. With her exotic looks and edgy lyrics she is masterful, combining the sounds of artists like Alanis Morissette, Ani DiFranco and Michelle Branch . Carmel’s high energy performances are honest and personal in nature, proving that she is an artist who can not be ignored.

Much love,
Kathy Smith

I ordered the new CD and hope you will consider it.

Thanks!
Kathy

I went to a Celebration of Women's Collaborations a few years ago and had the great joy of experiencing emma's revolution. Their official website is: http://www.emmasrevolution.com/

These two women make powerful, socio-political statements via their songwriting and singing. My favorite album of theirs is one x 1,000,000 = change (very appropriate and relevant to the mission of Zaadz!)

Just to whet your appetite to buy the album, here's my unofficial summary review of the playlist (FYI: you can dowload/listen to songs 1, 2, 3 and 9 for free):

1. bound for freedom - an empowering, inspiring call for individuals to engage in social action/activism...

2. this love - a beautiful plea for solidarity when one stands up for justice and the greater good (i have adopted this song as my own personal anthem!)

3. if i give your name - a song that makes me cry every time I hear it...about the discounted (and uncounted) victims of 9/11/01...

4. refugee - redefining the term "refugee" as those who are "silenced", inadvertently or overtly, by an oppressive culture/system with a powerful, persuasive call to "speak out" despite the existing pressures to remain silent...

5. kilimanjaro - if Al Gore discovers this song, I am Certain that he would want these gals to participate in his efforts to increase awareness of our climate crisis...

6. nikki & carrie - you can interpret it as a story of a lesbian relationship or, you can explore it as I have done, as a story of the complexities of any type of female to female relationship...

7. silent spring - another environmentally relevant song re: the rachel carson story...

8. one by one - an anthem to close the torture institution known as the School of the Americas...another song that makes me weep whenever i listen to it...

9. peace, salaam, shalom - a fantastic piece, can be taught and sung as a round at protest rallies and/or peace marches or gatherings...you can download, for free, the sheet music for it here

10. seed - a beautiful, inspiring song about doing what you can with what you have.... Another Strong Candidate to be a Zaadz Theme Song!

11. i will be with you - my interpretation of this song is that it's about generational differences in women's struggles to live their lives as their own...it has helped me bridge the cultural and contextual differences between me, my own mother and my mother's mother...very healing for me in coming to terms with the recent passing of my maternal grandmother...

12. codePINK - honestly, my least favorite song on the album....it's about the women's organization of the same name...those of you who belong to it may enjoy it...

13. we are one - another song of Solidarity; poignant, plaintive and a perfect ending to a phenomenal album!

I've recorded a new meditation which seems to be an answer to all people who says they are anxious too much to meditate and they know not what to do.
I would enjoy to describe such meditation but not to stress all over and over, I do have a POWERPOINT where I just describe the referred meditation.
It is not published yet in a www page.
So I would apreciate to upload it here, with some samples of the music associated - it is a complet CD with one hour duration.
I f you know what to do to upload such powerpoint and mp3 samples, I would love that you contact me and tell me over.
Love
anand TAZA - brazil

We are really excited for a number of reasons:
This is a band comprised of session musicinas in LA, (see below for more info.) We have just recorded our second CD and will be releasing it in May. Many things are happening worth note. We are about to be reviewed in Ode magazine! (Our favorite magazine for intelligent optimists). The reason being for the review is that this project is an entirely self-produced project with top players, that is about making music for the sake of music, and standing up to the corporate agenda and fears in the Business and saying “Look here is Good music, with good musicians, and we can make something beautiful simply because that is what we think is important!”

This is a Live Track from a recent concert:
http://thecircuitbreakers.com/parttime.mp3

we are at:

or

PS
Band info:

Steve Ferrone - Drums, (Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Pat Metheny, Average White band…), Jeff Young - Kbds, (Steely dan, Sting, Taylor Hicks, Jackson Browne…), Mike Finnigan - B3 Organ and Vocals, (Jimi Hendrix, Crosby Still and Nash, Etta James, Joe Cocker, dave Mason, Bonnie Rait…), Tim Scott - Bass and Vocals, (Jack Mak, Tower of Power, Robben ford…), and John March Guitars.

Comprised of some of the best session musicians in the world. This is, and was, a project about real musicians playing real music. No tricks of technology, but human beings playing at their best. Simple as that!
