Hi Joan and All! I’m currently reading a section in Serge King’s book “Urban Shaman” about “shapechanging” or communication with plants that I thought you would all appreciate. Serge writes about how a guy named George Washington Carver was able to do “incredible things with plants.” These words speak volumes. :) Quote from Urban Shaman: “He, (GWC), derived hundreds of separate, economically important products from plants he worked with, not by scientific study, analysis, or experimentation, but by deep communication. When asked how he performed his miracles he said that all plants and living things talked to him, and that “I Learn What I know By Watching And Loving Everything.” Much of his work was done in a private laboratory in which no books were allowed, where he would spend hours communicating with plants to learn what they had to teach. Not long before his death he said that in touching a flower, “I am touching infinity. Through the flower I talk to the Infinite. It is that still small voice that calls up the fairies.” Peace and love, Journeys |
