  Tsinnie : peacemaker

treating itp through diet

Tsinnie said Dec 14, 2007, 9:32 PM:

I have a blood disorder called idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and it seems to be made better by modifying my diet to the point of almost veganism. The other challenge I have is that I am gluten  and corn intollerant. I am wondering if anyone has any input on a way to continue eating healthy, and also on other ways that I could treat this disorder. The conventional treatment for this includes steroid therapy, and possibly having my spleen removed. I am not willing to go either of those routes.  I feel  that  my spleen is important to my body.
Thanks for any input in advance.
