This is a great idea! Thank you. I actually used to do this with my grandmother when I was a child. We would bake biscuits and bring them to the nursing home every week and visit people there. I live in Bay Ridge and there seems to be a lot of nursing homes out here too. If anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear those too! Thanks!

I suggest you to go visit a nursing home with your daughter. The love, smiles and joy you will bring to the people will be so healing to all with the presence of you and your daughter. A friend of mine has been doing this with her daughter at 4 and is now 12 and once had cancer at age 3 with this love vibration helping all involved. Enjoy, ask permission and perhaps this venue will be an experience you and child will learn and love as well sharing stories.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any volunteering opportunities in NYC (preferably Brooklyn) that I could do with my 4 year old daughter?
