Millions of Americans are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes every year. It used to be people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s that were getting this disease. Now, the diagnosis is steadily rising for teenagers and young people in their 20s and 30s.

I have not personally, but my mother was diagnosed with type 2 about 10 years ago. At the time, she was a vegetarian, but after the diagnosis she became fully vegan and started power walkinf for a half hour a day. She lost her excess weight, and to this day has never had to take insulin or anykind of medication…she controls it strictly through diet and exercise. |

That's great Kevin! It goes to show that diet and lifestyle changes have a tremendous impact on our health. Your mother's way of dealing with her diabetes is an inspiration to people who do not want to use prescription medication to treat illness. |
