Soy - Good or Bad?Art said Sep 14, 2006, 8:07 AM: |

I would like to throw out the topic of soy to everyone. I have heard people such as Dr. Andrew Weill mention soy quite often when recommending dairy and meat protein replacements in diet. However, my friend just went to a holistic nutritionist who recommended rice milk over soy mild, saying that soy releases toxins into the system. |

There's so much said about it - it's hard to know 'the truth about soy'. |

Thanks, Dree. I'm trying to learn all I can about how best to eat, but there's so much conflicting info out there. I guess I need to make slow, gradual changes and see how my body and mind react to them. Good advice on not being out of balance. |

http://www.mothering.com/articles/growing_child/food/soy_story.html http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz/ Here are some links to good soy info. My husband and I just switched to rice milk, and we both like it better. We will still eat soy (oh how I love tempeh!), but less of it than we did before. And when our daughter is old enough for solids we will give her soy too, but in small amounts. Everything in moderation, eh? |
