Theology is something I have always had a fascination with.  Why do we need religion?  Why are the Old Ways continuing to peek out at us amid all the steel and technology that the Modern Age brings?

Welcome Persephone Halliwell! My mother obtained her masters and stopped just short of a doctorate in theology, so in a sense my reference system is steeped in theology. As a teen and young adult I listened to the discourse of academics. I learned to hear the voice of the heart and weigh it against what I heard - sifting through what resonates and what does not. I look forward to traveling with you.

My name is Bhatta. I am 65 yr old. I am a seeker and the sacred photograph which illuminates this group as it's cultivator is that of my revered guruji.

I joined Gaia because my Guruji wanted me to be here.

My family comprises of my wife, my son and his wife.

I have posted some contents on Shiva Lingam, please let me know if they have been posted in the correct threads. I would like to post more material (mostly legends) related to the Twelve Jyotirlingams. Do I post these in the Parabels , symbols discussion in the Forum, or in the Angels… ? Please guide me. Thanks

Bhatta, if they are legends - the Parables room is good for them. You'll soon get into the flow of things here. We are always open to suggestions where you may feel something can be improved or added, etc

HELP !!!
I have posted a Long Text - Yoga and Yogi- in the newly opened room “Teachings of Masters”. However, this text is from Markandeya Purana, an ancient Hindu scripture. Since it is a “long text” I have posted it in the new room. Should it rather be posted in “Windows of Light”?
I am confused, please help.

Welcome Bhatta It is fine where it is.  I read Yoga & Yogi - Murkandeya purana
and it felt like it taught me from a master.  Feel free to have others viewpoints on this as the room is new.  We can discuss this further in the Forum by starting a new thread. Namaste ~kes

Hello, all. May the Lord be with you.

I am delighted to be joining you all on the last day of June. Some years ago, the beauty of liturgy and its space for mystery drew me into the Episcopal Church. Four years ago, I became an associate of Holy Cross Monastery, a move that jolted the underpinnings of my life and brought a whole host of questions to the surface. Being here with so many other people of spirit is another part of that quest. I look forward to coming face to face with so many windows on the Light.
